Just on a personal note. These covers I posted here are some of the best. I think they are very professional and they really attract the eye. I have a great blogger who writes about books simply judged by the cover. These get an A+ for beauty!
Dahlia (Blood Crave Series)
by Christina Channelle
Genre: Young-adult fiction
Print Length: 320 pages
Publisher: Christina Channelle; 1 edition (Dec 21 2012)
What would you do if your dreams were more than just dreams? When you knew in the depths of your soul that you were unlike the rest?
For seventeen-year-old Dahlia Winters, this is her truth. Her coping mechanism is to simply forget and deny the strangeness that is her life. Orphaned, her past remains a mystery. Now residing with a foster family, she finally feels normal–or attempts to. Yet, dreams continue to torment her. Not only consumed by visions of miraculously healing wounds, but of a lust for something she should never naturally crave.
Then a green-eyed stranger enters her life echoing her inner thoughts and voicing warnings about others wanting to harm her. He knows things about her that no one should possibly know, and he awakens her in ways she never expected.
This leads Dahlia to discover who she really is, for she is more than just human. With this newfound knowledge, and the elements suddenly fighting against her, she finds it hard to trust anyone. And as she finally awakens and comes to grips with the power she possesses, she fights to stay alive. Before the world, as she knows it, ceases to exist.

Chloe Carpenter isn’t like other women. She can communicate with animals. A gift she unwrapped following one of her frequent dances with death. In her otherwise wacky life, she’s finally found a semblance of sanity working at the Plum Beach Wildlife Park, where her unique talents can make life or death differences for the animals in her care. That semblance is shattered when a new veterinarian roars into the park in his spiffed up sports car and sets his golden gaze on her. If she had her way, he’d roar right back out.
Problem: He’s her new coworker and he’s saved her life twice – in the past twenty-four hours.
Zane Marshall, Enforcer for the Pacific Pack of purebred werewolves, has a job to do – figure out who or what is mutilating the young men of Plum Beach.
With orders to find the woman who talks to animals, he accepts a position working alongside the fiery Chloe Carpenter, a female who ignites his interest far more than he ever expected. Remarkably, she’s the one elusive female with potential to bring meaning and passion to his empty existence. Problem: She despises him. Together, they’re forced to unravel a mystery of supernatural proportions, a murderous mystery with eternal implications for everyone. In the process, they discover opposites really do attract. Major Problem: Zane is pledged to another woman, and she’ll do anything to keep him from Chloe.
Meet Carol Van Atta

Like most authors, Carol Van Atta is no stranger to the written word. She penned a
short novel at age 12. (somewhat frightening illustrations included), and had a creative writing piece published in her high school newspaper (about David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs LP). Yes, she’s an ex-80’s rocker chick.
She has contributed to several popular inspirational anthologies and devotional books, and lives in the rainy wetlands of Oregon with one terrifying teen (another in college) and a small zoo of animals. She is taking an undetermined hiatus away from inspirational writing to delve into her darker side. It is rumored that this genre-jumping occurred after Carol discovered two suspicious read marks on her neck, and experienced an unquenchable urge to howl at the moon.
Jennifer Schaber and Saba Molai I gifted them through Amazon so please look out for the email from them! Thanks for entering and checking out the blog ladies!

The line “Ever wonder what some people might think if they knew what you read?” is the eye catcher. Look at the cover close and then get the idea? Yes it was funny to start. When you are introduced to Jade and her office friends you will definitely get a laugh. Things are told and built around the fact that if you read erotica HIDE it.
Everyone thinks Jade is a nice girl and she is sort of embarrassed by what she reads. Erotic stories are found on her desk with notes that say if she doesn’t sit there and read them, they will pop-up somewhere else in the office—with her name on them. That alone is hot and steamy to me.
NOTE this is a funny, naughty book with a little bdsm thrown in. If you don’t like it, please don’t read it . I thought it was a hoot! I enjoyed the gay office mates and Jade especially. Totally my kind of story. It was not a short story it was a novel about 200 pages and I would say in estimate, 100 are the steam! Probably the best steam that doesn’t involve hot wax and bruises. in the book. Grab it up if you enjoy this genre. Grab it and be proud! Mostly grab it because it is naughty, the kind that doesn’t involve pain and make you cringe.
I was surprised to check the author out and see she has more books on Amazon, a few short stories and all equally naughty.
I made the banner and I LOVE IT!! Not as much as the book. So was it THAT good. Better than great! I have so much planned to get Crystal’s book out there. The ONLY way is to give it away. Click the book’s picture in the sidebar. For 1 day I am giving away ….. Im a giver and feeling generous so I will say 5 copies
Evelyn Beaumont can’t remember anything from the time she was 14 until she was 19. She lost five years of her life because of brain cancer. Now she is a 20 years old survivor and enrolled in college, determined to reclaim her life. There she meets Tristan Monroe, but it isn’t the first time they’ve met. In fact, Tristan and Evelyn were once in love. It was a love so strong that it shattered him when, after the three years they had spent together, she never came back to Laguna.
Evelyn wants nothing more than to have her memories back. With the help of Tristan and his brother Drake, they take Evelyn on an emotional journey filled with videos, photos, and memorabilia…a walk down memory lane.
While they stroll down memory lane, Evelyn must learn to deal with Tristan’s rock star fame and the ever-present groupies. She struggles to find herself and to learn to love again.
Is their love strong enough to overcome the memory loss? Is it strong enough to survive whatever comes their way? Will all the proof Tristan shares with her be enough to show her how deeply they loved each other? Will love find Evelyn once again?
Review
This was just a phenomenal book. There is so much to say about the writing, the characters and the scenery. I am fortunate to live in Orange County and if you read it you will want to visit Laguna Beach. The synopsis tells you enough about the journey. This will not be a review that gives you a description or synopsis. I am not a fan of those. What I’d like to say is Tristan and Drake are dreamy guys! The families and friends that have just gravitated towards Evelyn are amazing. When she gets to college and things begin to happen it is not the past but the future that is pulling at your heart. It will make you see what I did, that life is too short and too uncertain. It doesn’t matter how old you are or your history, cancer will touch too many lives. I got through it!
Take my advice and read the book. I would say it is a sentimental journey, a love story and a story about the worst disease I know cancer. I hate to say I know too much about it and that is why the book spoke volumes. Read it and love it like I KNOW many will.
The author:

Three months after catching a killer, Margarita escapes to a historic hotel with Drew and Bindi for a Valentine’s weekend of geocaching. But during the love-themed costume ball, the CEO of a satellite navigation company keels over—and then his body vanishes.
As the weekend progresses, Margarita discovers threatening messages in the logbooks of local geocaches. Her attempts to unmask the blackmailer are thwarted by the last person she would have expected.
With a stubborn sheriff on the case, Margarita and Bindi must take matters into their own hands. But whether they’re chasing one killer or two, they have a problem: all their suspects seem to have solid alibis.
Between misunderstandings, outright lies, old secrets, and more than one corpse, it’s not Love in the air anymore. It’s Death.
Review:
Well this was a new sort of book for me. I really enjoyed book 1 and this one was just as good! It was a surprising genre that really had it’s appeal. So in a techie sort of way they take you through this intricate way of finding clues and treasure hunting. So cool! The main character Margarita was so smart and very likable. She doesn’t think this accident happened the way everyone says it did. Margarita and her BFF Bindi set out to uncover the mystery. Bindi has a “super snout” and is smell sensitive, that is just about the funniest super power! While they set out to investigate on their own it is not an easy as they thought. One by one the suspects have alibis. The blackmailing and suspects are bad enough but now the body is missing. I can’t say anymore about the plot, no spoilers, but it was good!
The story was unique as was the characters. I would totally recommend this book! I liked the mystery, the characters and the suspense.
