I like this one a lot. Honestly it was really good, but there was just too much back story. I think that if Grayson did not have a secret and Paige didn’t either then it would have been better. With all the history and then 16 deaths over ten years it was hard to keep up at certain points. Maybe too many characters.

The author did a wonderful job with the strong family values that Grayson and his Mom had. Also the Carter Family was pretty deep and had some deep roots to the community. 

The last 20% of the book was just awesome and everything was really pulled together nicely. I think there could be a Joseph Carter book or maybe just continue with Grayson and his career. Not to mention that Paige can have her school too. 

All in all a good read
