Well I finished…It’s All Relative by S.C. Stephens

It's All Relative

Well I finished this late last night. What a book! Again, like so many times before this author amazed me. In general without a spoiler the topic is taboo. So that being said when Jessica Marie goes to a club to have fun with her roomies Harmony and April. Jessie is a mess after breaking up with her boyfriend of 18 months. The guy was caught cheating and she was devastated. She goes out and see Kai immediately there is a spark. They dance a little, drink a lot, and they go back to his place. He tells her that he is in Colorado for a few weeks because of his job. Relocating from Hawaii he find some promise and a new love. After the bedroom escapades the room mates call and pick her up to go home.; She finds Kai in her Grandmothers hospital room. Yup they are related! Holy shit this blew me away. The rest is so stormy and dramatic that I was captivated!   When you are yelling at the book telling Jessie not to set Kai up with her slut of a room mate April, you have a problem. Being so drawn into the premise and thinking “who cares if you are cousins?” makes me feel  sort of bad.

After having a difficult time and fighting with Harmony and April the girls decide to go skii. Then of course add Kai to the mix because he is new in town spells trouble. They get to the lodge and Harmony tells Jessica that April doesn’t want her to room with them because she is still upset. Well yup it happens she says just stay with your cousin. Holy **** I am biting my lip big time.

I have to say it is a must read and so chock full of angst, but the kind you will love and adore. So, the family drama along with the room mate drama was outrageous and in some spots heartbreaking. I loved this book like all her others. I really think they could have a sequel when Jessica Marie gets her Uncle Nathan, Aunt Lailani and her parents together. I think that could be great! Now I feel selfish that I want more, but it was that GOOD.
