Chance Encounter (Men of Chance #3) by Jill Shalvis

T. J. Chance is a wild, uninhibited adventurer. Ally Wheeler is one scared little mouse. But she’s determined to change all that, and T.J. is her ticket to a brand-new life. If she can hold her own with this sexy rebel, she can do anything

No way is Chance going to be responsible for some city girl who wants to dog his heels and have “adventures.” Of course, if she’s looking for a wild time, he can certainly deliver. And the longer Ally stays in Wyoming, the harder it’s going to be for him not to do the wild thing with her….Very nice story only it was too short.

Breathe (Colorado Mountain, #4) by Kristen Ashley

Breathe (Colorado Mountain, #4)

Well the best part was the last sentence “The Colorado Mountain Series will continue”

For us fans of all things Kristen Ashley this one was great. It was A lot longer than her others too about 550 pages. All worth it!

Seemed to tie up a lot of stories. Starting with Faye, we knew of her in the other series as well as Lexie, Lauren and Krystal. This went deep into the Misty stories and WOW that was awesome. There was a little given back story but I think any of her fans have read the entire series from the beginning. The entire Carnal PD was dismantled and only the “hero” Chace was really left. He was struggling to keep it all together while still mentoring Frank, even though he is a straight as an arrow cop. So much corruption from the Lady Luck book came to a close. I think Chace was the only detective standing, who cares about the others anyways?

I can say that there are a few surprises. The two that blew me away was Serenity and Benji. Frakin’ amazing. The only thing that got me babbling was the Battlestar stuff cause I did not know any of it.

So we squueeee until the next book comes out. KA kicked ass again!!
My Quotes:

I didn’t want to go back to sleep. I wanted to talk to him until the earth started revolving around the moon.

Do what you want. Anything you want. I don’t give a fuck. Just as long as you’re happy here.” I’d be happy on a deserted island that had nothing but a palm tree and a lifetime supply of sunscreen as long as Chace was there. And it was because of statements just like that I would.

Now he knew it was worse. Fuck. Deck wasn’t done. “Lined up two hundred women, told me to choose the one for you, I’d choose the one back there. Settin’ myself up for what I’m gonna see again, gonna hold onto the knowledge that a year ago, my boy had one serious, fuckin’ bitch sleepin’ in his bed and he was sleepin’ in his guest room.

Perfect for Fay and Chase

Breaking Point (I-Team #5) by Pamela Clare

I loved Natalie!! She may be my favorite heroine in this series now. She was smart, willing to push herself to help Zach while they were prisoners. That part was so real I was so scared. I liked how she was able to deal with her past demons too. Very realistic and touching. Zach was also a damaged soul in need of healing and believing again – how can you not love a guy like that? even though he said he was not a good mate, or could never be a spouse, I knew that was not true. He had lost all his friends and his Mom and the severed relations with his Senator Dad were just among the obstacles. This story had many layers, which kept me guessing and the pages turning. It moved at a fast pace and never slipped on the details. You feel like you are right there. This is just one more reason why I love this series. You are guaranteed an exciting, believable, sexy, and emotional read. Breaking Point was another fantastic addition to the series. Fans are going to have a hard time picking their favorite among the series, but no one will be disappointed. It was that good

% stars for book and sexy steam factor too!

At Last (Lucky Harbor, #5) by Jill Shalvis

It’s always a good day to start to read a book by Jill Shalvis because I know I’m guaranteed to love it! Well loved this one from beginning to end. All the chapter headers are in my published blogs notes and hi-lite. The way Lucille makes me crack up is just another reason to read on. She is so freakin hilarious. You feel like going home, just to a special place where they wear a shirts saying “Eat Me”. OK seriously saying the journey of Amy’s journals was so inspiring. A lot seems sort of cryptic until the JS person is revealed. Now I see the preview of Dr Josh at the end and maybe Riley too??? I hope.

Great read u wont be disappointed

To Feel Again (1 Night Stand #1) by Valerie Mann

When Leah loses her fiancé, Mark, in Afghanistan, it takes nearly a year to get to the point where she’s ready to live again. Although she doesn’t want an emotional commitment, a night of consensual sex, even with a stranger, might help bring her some closure after Mark’s death. Enlisting the services of Madame Evangeline’s high-end, online dating service, One Night Stand, promises exactly what Leah is looking for—sex with a man she doesn’t have to see again, but one who will satisfy her physical needs now that she’s ready to move on with her life.

Jackson Castillo has no desire to go on a date with one of Evangeline’s clients. One Night Stand uses his hotel for its client’s rendezvous, but otherwise, he never gets involved. When Eve threatens to take her business elsewhere unless he helps her with a particular case, he’s no fool. He’ll go on the date. But he won’t sleep with the woman.

When one thing leads to another, his good intentions to stay out of the bedroom with Leah are shattered. The sex is phenomenal, but there’s more to Leah he wants to explore. After she leaves the next morning without a goodbye, he’s both disappointed and royally pissed. Will he let her go or find a way to convince her she’s ready…to feel again?

Lucky Stars (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #5) by Kristen Ashley

I am a huge Kristen Ashley fan/junkie/addict, sadly I am scared of ghosts! The love of the author made me read the entire series. I read through this slowly as parts were very intricate. Makes me wonder how she has that much imagination. Loved the characters and the quirkiness of Belle’s Dad Jensen was a hoot too. For the POV’s it was by chapter so it was easy to follow. The “wee ones’ ghosts Lewis and Myrtle have been held in sort of ghost purgatory for 200 years. Now it is up to a reporter and the cast of ghost whisperers and clairvoyant to help them to find peace.

Loved it even though there were parts that made me scared. Oh well not scared enough to get out the holy water!

Collision Course (ebook) by S.C. Stephens

Very thought provoking book. I was surprised that the author wrote a 17 year old boy so well! Lucas was, like I said, well written and well rounded. The entire thought process was spelled out and so accurate. The poor kid dealt with some huge issues. So many times he was quiet I wanted him to stop and scream “I remember it all” The Lil dialogue was really difficult at times as was Darren and Sammy. The accident, healing and hurt was also a great lesson to learn. Sometimes the pain you inflict on yourself by blame is much more powerful than the authoritative sentence.

Grab tissues and enjoy this one. I was thoroughly impressed!! didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it didn't like it

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

I hate to slam it but this was bad. The way it went from phoney journal to present day Amy and Nick I pretty much never say I don’t like a book, but this one, nah I did not like it. The author was new to me and was a recommendation.

In the end I did not know what was the truth and what was a lie.
