Huddle…
Break!
I have said it before, I’ll say it again, nothing prepares you for a lifelong dream coming true. So when that dream gets bigger, bolder, brighter and broader, well, sistahs and bruthas, pure goodness.
What I’m talking about is that my agent, Emily Sylvan Kim of Prospect Agency and I are moving forward with Grand Central Publishing into Dream Big, Phase Two.
Grand Central Publishing has purchased my Dream Man Series and my Colorado Mountain Series. They will be re-releasing these in eBooks and… wait for it… in print! Yee ha!
If that wasn’t enough goodness, I’m also working with them to publish the next two in theColorado Mountain Series and to launch the Dream Man spin-off, The Chaos Series.
In fact, you thought I was pulling back on my hectic schedule but GCP already has the first ofChaos, Tabby and Shy’s story. They are moving full steam ahead to release that goodness out to you (and, by the by, the second is a third of the way written! – you know, no grass grows under this Rock Chick).
One of the things that makes this team unbeatable, for me, GCP is fully behind my drive to continue to weave my dreams and give them to you. Therefore, I will carry on self-publishing including the finale of my Rock Chick Series as well as more in my Fantasyland Series, ‘Burg Series, Unfinished Hero Series and anything else I dream up.
It’s exciting, if busy times for me and my team and, truth be told, I’m not entirely certain it’s all sunk in yet.
Who knows what’ll happen next? I just know, you put yourself out there, the sky could be the limit if you work hard and are true to yourself.
Yes, I know this. How? Living proof, sistahs and bruthas! I’m floating in the clouds and it… is… awesome!
Amy Pierpont, my editor at GCP, really gets my voice and is a committed partner in helping me shine. We’re excited to unveil what we’re working on as a team. In fact, Amy asked me to include a comment from her:
“I discovered and fell in love with Kit’s books the way many of you did—a friend pulled me aside one day and said, “Kristen Ashley. Read her.” I started with Motorcycle Man (because, seriously, who doesn’t love a hot guy on a hot bike?) and there was no turning back. The more Kit stories I read, the more I loved, and the more I knew I had to get Kit’s books into the hands of as many readers as possible. Kit’s an incredible storyteller, and while we’ll be very careful to preserve Kit’s voice and her vision for the stories, our goal is to help her reach even more fans, and to that end we’ll be giving her editorial guidance, copyediting, proofreading, and some kickass new covers. And, of course, we’ll be rounding up Rock Chicks nationwide to help us spread the word—so stay tuned for how you can be part of Kit’s journey!”
