This was book #2 in the Forever Series. They say it is a stand alone or spin off I say NOPE you have to read book1. When you do you will see the growth of the characters and the author. This book was smarter and sexier if that is possible. I so enjoyed when Collin and Summer came to visit Matt. It brought the first book and the characters right back to you. So see don’t skimp, buy book one. Parties, sororities and getting drunk are the opposite of Leah Bennett. Leah is cute and comes equipped with a smart mouth. She is not the typical football player’s girlfriend. The day she meets Matthew Jacobs, is the day her future is sealed. She doesn’t know it and she is so secretive that her coy attitude doesn’t give the “real” Leah away. Her room-mate Kayla is the polar opposite. She lives College life for her self and puts studying second. Leah explains Kayla “Although Kayla is completely harmless and would never hurt a fly, she is dumber than a box of rocks, and I would rather listen to her nails dragging on a chalkboard then have her chatting my ear off about nothing at all.”
She realizes that Matt is not at all what she thought him to be. Just because he is in a frat house and the star wide receiver, doesn’t mean he has no standards. Apparently Matt shows he is a little bit of an alpha male. Leah thinks she has him pegged and is confused by his actions then it becomes clear. “Now hearing him say that, this picture I’ve drawn of him is false”
Another hilarious quote, that doesn’t give plot away is “Holy fin Mother Theresa! He did not just say that me bowling a perfect game is a turn on!”
Last night it happened! “Finally feeling like a true college student, I didn’t go home last night” How cute is that? I think really cute.
Location 1413 “What the hell? Am I a dick-a-holic now?” Another laugh and spit on the kindle!
So they are cute and the entire story has it’s ups and downs. There was a reveal that sort of blew me away because it explained Matthew’s family. Just the right amount of everything boiled in a pot and served up like a 5 star meal! Read it and enjoy the story, it continues with Promising Forever in May and then in July Giving You Forever. Get in line now this author rocks and I want more already!
Through my addiction for reading, I’ve discovered my passion for writing. I’ve written two books, Planning on Forever and Summer Rush. I’m a hopeless romantic, and love reading and writing about it.
~Read to love, and love to read~
