Binary Law (Boston #1) by M.H. Grace #review @AuthorMHGrace

“I have no intentions of this journey ending anytime soon, but it starts tonight, with you and me” – Blake McCarthy

The first part of this book was so fluffy and a real cozy romance. No spoilers allowed! So the set up is a great group of guys that went through high school and college, though different places, at the same time. Blake, who has has a crush on Eleanor forever, Ben and Billy who are like brothers. Ellie has to leave her best friend Hope and her secret love Blake to move within a day. Her Dad is in the military and she gets a message to come home asap. When she does of course the news is dismal. When she arrives at her new home the only bag missing is the ones with her notebooks and cell phone. She has no way to call Hope or Blake. She ponders over and over what would have been..

the angst level is on high at this point, then the next chapter, my first jaw dropping..

6 Years later. Well they meet again

It really happens so fast and before you know it the the B’s Blake, Ben and Billy are being sued. Well guess who is representing them? Ellie. One of those moments happens and leaves the group with the addition of Georgia panicking about the future and the law suit. Ben and Georgia have been together for about 4 years and being he had come from a broken home, he didn’t want to get married. It is spoken of, but not in detail. I think that is a miss opportunity for the plot.

I loved the group and characters were great. Sometimes the supporting characters are equally as memorable. I adored Robert, who is Ellie’s legal assistant. He is in a committed relationship with Tony who is the skip tracer/investigator. They bring a new and very exciting element to the book. I loved how they interacted and more importantly their commitment to each other. So for Ellie, she relies on the dynamic duo of Robert and Tony. I would love more of them myself.

In the end you wont believe what happens and it will keep you thinking about it long after you are done reading. Take my word it is filled with a big ole nasty legal battle, lots of love, sex, steam and an ultimate betrayal. DON’T miss it. I cant wait for book 2. This has NO cliffhanger either.

Some quotes to swoon over:

“Ellie, I want to date you and, as juvenile as it sounds, I want you to be my girlfriend. Ellie, will you be my girlfriend? Will you be my plus one, let me make it up to you for all those years we’ve been apart, will you be mine?” Read more at location 530

Five boxes later and a gift that made my heart take a little leap, a leap closer to falling in love with Blake. Read more at location 675
I’m going to make it my own personal promise to never let life stand in the way again. Life will never rip me away from the ones I love, not without a battle from me.
