Jack and Jenna are a married couple who seem to be at a fork in their road of love, live and happiness. So they plan a trip and at the last minute Jenna finds out Jack invited a couple they are somewhat friendly with. I admit I loved the premise. I thought there are probably a few couples that I would want to go on vacation with. Well if I remember when we didn’t have kids, there were only two couple we would vacation with. Unless you really know people and have an understanding that you aren’t glued at the hips, then it works. So Jenna is not happy and reluctantly leaves, heading to Jamaica.
Was the fact that the author, I am full of myself here, created Jenna to piss me off. She seemed like she needed to loosen up a lot! That is the way you know the author is fabulous is she creates the character who you know is a thorn in your side. I questioned a lot of Jenna’s actions and she was always the voice of the reserved type of person whispering, NO! It seems like everyone is up for fun and they plan a few excursions Jenna backs out of going to the nude beach, I wanted to stab her with the umbrella from my tropical drink.
Finally things are moving along and the impact of their “talk” hits home. She is not happy and neither is Jack in a way. They added a lot of funny things to lighten the mood. They seem to have grown apart and are both somewhat willing to keep the marriage intact. Ultimately the couple they go with have a secret lifestyle. THIS is the best part. The steamy scenes between Jack and Jenna are HOT! The scenes between Marc and Summer were equally as hot. They are very open and expressive.
Marc and Summer take turn equally counseling Jack and Jenna. Marc is a Doctor who is very open and has a female way of listening.
I dont know if I can or want to share what happens, but it was quite a journey mon! They learn so much about each other as a married couple. They learn about exploration both mentally and physically. They learn that Jack being an artist, has not changed at all. He is an artist by trade, so he has a creative way about him that may be considered deviant. I mean he sculpts nudes and Jenna was once his model. When the past comes out I learned that maybe Jenna isn’t as much a stick in the mud as I thought.
