Police officer Jenna O’Connor, one word WOW She is just too awesome. After having issues growing up keeping quiet she now gets her dream job on the SWAT team. Then she meets Adam. So Adam …hhmm…is just oozing alpha male, take charge, sex appeal. It is the authors explanations and the mannerisms given to Adam that appeal to me. I love a strong character that is strong without trying too hard. Sometimes it seems he is better at being a protector than anything else. Determined to break free and live her own life is the Jenna appeal for me. I liked that she was finally coming out of her shell so to speak. Particularly the way she was raised was something new to me. She is just a character I find hard to completely explain, but I loved her!
When the book takes the biggest turn showing a group of violent shifters is when it become a real page turner. I read fast and if I am kept awake it is a good book.
What I loved was: The way the characters are written, their dialogues and the action. There is a descriptive way the authors write that I want to say even when serious made me smile a few times.
Lastly, the style of romance added with the action made it a must read series! I so want to gobble up the next book! This one was a real honest full length book that is hard to put down. The build up was timed perfectly! The author added just the right amount of angst for me.
