A very different mc book. I liked the author’s approach to their day to day lives. Granted there is not really any glamour to this type of book, but what do you need glam for when you have The Kitty Kat as a backdrop? I felt equal amounts of hate, love, lust, sadness and lies. If you like semi-dark books then you will love this one!
As for the meat and potato part I will say that Chipper is one of my favorites. He is sweet, took Jenna aka Ice in, loves his wife, and most of all he is a loyal Renegade. So when the book starts out we are thrown into a scene that was tough. It sets the tone for Timmons. He has held Jenna a virtual prisoner since her Daddy lost her in payment for a debt. Her Dad Brew is awful. All this is explored while we learn to like the Renegades.
What I liked about the book was the roughness. I felt in comparison to some others this one was dark, but in the right way. When discussing the club and their activities of course drugs were involved, but that aspect was not overpowering. I dont like it when prostitution and drugs seem glamorous. I know it aint reality but I dont want to glamorize a lifestyle.

Before deciding to write New Adult Romance, she wrote three different versions of the same Young Adult Novel where her main characters were teenage superheros from an alternative universe. It never worked. It drove her crazy. Then she dropped the superhero bit, added some spice, and suddenly everything started to click. She found her niche. And if it hadn’t been for her obsessive nature she never would have learned how to write in the process.
