As a BJ Harvey fan I enjoyed this book. Being this is not exactly a continual series all of the bliss titles should be read. This was a steamy book after a long wait. So in other words the buildup was totally there. Actually the buildup may have been too much to take. There is a big level of patience when it comes to Sam.

This is a story of Sean Miller, a dom that met the love of his life ten years ago. They had a relationship that abruptly ended. I liked Samantha the tough female cop. She has some good lines and of course is not so tough in the bedroom. The other was Sean Miller, a lawyer and a past love. They haven’t seen each other in ten years, which I admit was strange. He of course is a hard working, hard playing, self made lawyer who just happens to be the dom that Samantha left behind. I appreciated Ryan, who is Sean’s brother. Poor guy is a gambling addict who owes money to bad people. The fact that him getting into trouble is the reason why Sean and Sam meet again sort of makes his story important in the romance aspect.

I fought to understand Samantha throughout the book. I have comes to terms with her submitting to Sean because she bosses people all day, being a cop, so when she gets home maybe she was in need of someone taking the lead. So of course Sean is, wow! hot!…sexy and just a dream.

Without a doubt this author is one who not only has a great steam in her writing but some great characters. Someone to watch out for with new releases.
