For fans of cozy mystery series this is for you. I have read a couple of this authors books and really enjoy her style. As for the characters, well Milton was the one I wanted to smack, but he is dead in the first few chapters so thats cool. Now how did Milton die? hmm the scandal in the town, well that is hilarious at times. I love the small town feel of the characters. The descriptions of the neighbors is sometimes laughable too.

I think the part about this property and what the intentions were are at the center of the book. In short if you make a statement in River Bend, people are gonna take notice. With Milton’s current wife and x wife this leads to some great reading! I say if you love mysteries without blood and gore then this is one to grab.
