No one would steal the Cadillac out of respect for dad, but I’d had to threaten to shot a couple of boys trying to steal the tires and rims a few months ago. They were buzzed outta their minds. It’s a wonder they didn’t shot me, but they were just looking for something quick to steal and sell. One shot in the air and they ran like mice. They will steal an antique mandolin in a heartbeat. They ain’t getting Blue Belle. I probably would shot someone in order to save her.

Knowing the trunk is securely locked, I walk toward the front door of the little house. Before entering, I wipe my boots on the mat on the porch and shake my long, blonde hair to remove the moisture. Giving up, I finally wrap my hair into a makeshift ponytail and open the door. A wave of warmth and the smell of cinnamon greet me unexpectedly.
“Good afternoon, welcome. I am Ernesto Lorenze,” a friendly male voice says from the corner of the dark room. I look around to see a tall, dark haired guy pull himself upright from a chair seated behind an antique desk. 

Actually, his legs are so long it is as if he is unraveling himself from the desk and chair. That’s a long drink of water crosses my mind before I even have time to think. I feel a blush creep across my cheeks as I access his credentials, so to speak. He is young looking but possibly in his mid-30s. He is wearing some type of black top hat, dark shirt, and jeans. You have to wonder why he would want to cover those silky dark curls, which almost touch his shoulders. His eyes are a luscious black/brown too, with just enough spark when he smiles, which lets you know that he is fun and charming. Bet he smiles like that all the time, not just when he wants to take money from you for a card reading, but anytime. Anywhere. The dimples help with that assessment, too. The fortune teller is a gorgeous guy. How great is that? I feel excited about something for the first time in a long time. Surely THAT alone is an omen, but we shall see what we shall see.

The spell is momentarily broken when he sits down on the desk in front of me, crosses his arms, and furrows his dark brows. Is something wrong?

“An hour reading is 100 dollars. Half an hour only 50 dollars. What would you like today?” He looks at me and winks. Is he flirting with me? How unexpected. Why have I left the house with no make-up on?

Looking him in the eyes makes me wonder…What would I like today?

Police officer Jenna O’Connor, one word WOW She is just too awesome. After having issues growing up keeping quiet she now gets her dream job on the SWAT team. Then she meets Adam. So Adam …hhmm…is just oozing alpha male, take charge, sex appeal. It is the authors explanations and the mannerisms given to Adam that appeal to me. I love a strong character that is strong without trying too hard. Sometimes it seems he is better at being a protector than anything else. Determined to break free and live her own life is the Jenna appeal for me. I liked that she was finally coming out of her shell so to speak. Particularly the way she was raised was something new to me. She is just a character I find hard to completely explain, but I loved her! 

When the book takes the biggest turn showing a group of violent shifters is when it become a real page turner. I read fast and if I am kept awake it is a good book.

What I loved was: The way the characters are written, their dialogues and the action. There is a descriptive way the authors write that I want to say even when serious made me smile a few times.

Lastly, the style of romance added with the action made it a must read series! I so want to gobble up the next book! This one was a real honest full length book that is hard to put down. The build up was timed perfectly! The author added just the right amount of angst for me.

Sydney-born Donna Gallagher decided at an early age that life needed be tackled head on. Leaving home at fifteen, she supported herself through her teen years. In her twenties she married a professional sportsman, her love of sport—especially rugby league—probably overriding her good sense.

This is a pretty good contemporary woman’s fiction. Amelia was approaching 60 and suddenly a widow. She has a road ahead of her that it seems she is not ready for. She had a husband who did everything for her. Making reference to numerology, the title is fitting. It is a somewhat emotional story that encompasses love, marriage, life, and loss. I understood the character and how she had to push herself to accept the loss of Nathan and grow. I got the impression that she needed to grow as a single person, as a widow, and that was the hard part for her. I think she had issues with her daughter, thus effecting her emotional state.

It was a book that will appeal to the over 30 crowd. A lot of wisdom in the pages.

As a fan of K.A. Linde, sometimes it is hard to be objective. Sometimes you know when characters such as Lexi, Jack, and Ramsey illicit such strong opinions, the author is that good. Sometimes when people are throwing kindles, ipads, and books at the wall, the author is that good. NO SPOILERS

Well I am just beside myself! I feel so sad this series is over. Seeing the characters grow over the last few years was a remarkable experience. I feel like the author did a great service to the fans by actually giving it an ending. I cant believe Lexi is 27. Where did the years go? Bekah was the one character who did NOT have any growth. She was a b****from page one to the END. In all the ups and downs we shared I honestly say that I love Jack and Ramsey. I was a double dipper then and now.

Lastly was Chyna. All I can say about her is she totally rocks the best friend role. There was one part in particular that will stick with me when Lexi asks her what to do. Well Chyna tells her straight, like always, that she knows what she should do and basically the answers are within. Lexi of course tries to cheat and Chyna tells her she needs to figure it out and she wont tell her what do do, whom to choose, who to leave and who stays. Love my girl KA Linde and the books was a phenom!
