The Space Between

Drake and Lacey meet under a rather strange situation. Trying to make a drug purchase Lacey gets him arrested. It’s a rough beginning for the two, ad obviously there is something there. Lacey is hired as a personal assistant for his family. Drake has a privileged background and Lacey has been very average. and mostly poor. She has taken care of her sickly Mother. Lacey is from Chicago and aspires to sing in an opera. I must admit this is a different profession that I have never heard a character aspire to. So I loved that!

Soon enough Drake is consumed with thoughts of her. Drake realizes how much he cares for her but, his family would never approve. They hide their relationship. The love story is so well written. I really enjoyed the book. I go for this forbidden and somewhat taboo relationship stories, so of course I loved it. Prepare for this intense saga of Lacey and Drake. While it is proving dreams can be real it has a lot of drama, romance and action. The beginning is a set-up so stay with it! TRUST ME

A Different Blue by Amy Harmon @aharmon_author ***spotlight**

Book Blurb: Blue Echohawk doesn’t know who she is.  She doesn’t know her real name or when she was born.  Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn’t attend school until she was ten years old.  At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on in life, she is just a senior in high school.   With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to say the least. Tough, hard and sexy, she is the complete opposite of the young British teacher who decides he is up for the challenge, and takes the troublemaker under his wing.

This is the story of a nobody who becomes somebody.  It is the story of an unlikely friendship, where hope fosters healing and redemption becomes love.  But falling in love can be hard when you don’t know who you are.  Falling in love with someone who knows exactly who they are and exactly why they can’t love you back might be impossible.Author Bio:  Amy Harmon knew at an early age that writing was something she wanted to do, so she divided her time between writing songs and stories as she grew. Having grown up in the middle of wheat fields without a television, with only her books and her siblings to entertain her, she developed a strong sense of what made a good story. Amy Harmon has been a motivational speaker, a grade school teacher, a junior high teacher, a home school mom, and a member of the Grammy Award winning Saints Unified Voices Choir, directed by Gladys Knight. She released a Christian Blues CD in 2007 called “What I Know” – also available on Amazon and wherever digital music is sold.  She lives in the middle of nowhere with her husband and four kids, and doesn’t plan to ever move somewhere, because nowhere is sublime.  She has written Running Barefoot, and the Young Adult books Slow Dance in Purgatory and the sequel, Prom Night in Purgatory.  A Different Blue is her fourth novel.

Under Her Spell

By: Eliza Daly

Review

Monica Jackson is the main character and she is great! Monica has had a few businesses fail so she must make her new venture last. Her brand new romantic event planning company, Enhance Your Romance is just the best idea!.  She actually uses her magic to cast a few spells. She uses her magic to cast a spell calling for her Mr Right! What happens when Reed Walker moves next door? The divorce lawyer obviously doesn’t believe in love, relationships that lead to marriage, he is very cynical.

It doesn’t take long for things to heat up. Will Mr cynical change his views? Can Monica still believe in the love that exists in her mind? Reed exposes some things about his past. I think when he does, you see a little bit of the base of his no love theory.

So, I loved it and I think all my chick lit and romantic readers will adore it too. I have found a little magic goes a long way with this one.  The book has an adorable plot that makes it a nice, easy and fulfilling read. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great romance with some steam.

Eliza Daly’s first attempt at creative writing was in fourth grade. She and her friends were huge Charlie’s Angels fans and she would sit in her bedroom at night writing scripts for them to act out at recess the following day. She was Kelly Garrett. Fast forward to the present, she’s still writing stories about beautiful women who always get their men. The journey from fourth grade script writer to published author wasn’t an easy one, but it was always an adventure and the final destination was well worth it.

When Eliza isn’t traveling for her job as an event planner, or tracing her ancestry roots through Ireland, she’s at home in Milwaukee working on her next novel, bouncing ideas off her husband Mark, and her cats Quigley, Frankie, and Sammy.

Book Review:

As an avid reader and fan of Abbi Glines it is a little difficult to write a review. I seriously am so in love with her writing and the style that I feel I am not worthy. I had the other books in this series and they were in my TBR on my Kindle. So when I upgraded to the new Kindle Fire I still had a ton of books that I didn’t move over. Anyway, I was on a 4 day 3 book Abbi Glines marathon. In other words I was in heaven! Start with Fallen Too Far and Never Too Far if you have not, I really stress they are add on books and I think it is better to read in order and not as a stand alone.

For this series I will say it was a bit different from other books like Because of Low and well the entire Sea Breeze collection. I know the way it was different, it was a little naughty for her! So I loved it!. The third book is Twisted Perfection and I hope it wont be the last. Sometimes you think can things get better? With this author YES they can and they do. The characters in the first two books are back, which is good. When it starts it is a prologue to Della Sloane’s story.  She has dark secrets and her past is completely hidden. I hope nobody gives any of these reveals away, because it really must be experienced.

Welcome to my honey, Woods Kerrington, his Dad owns the Golf course. Big money family with traditional southern values. They are like the epitome of class and wealth. There is the back story from the other books that ties in here and Woods is a big workaholic. All he thinks of is the VP job and being in charge of the golf course. Until…secrets, reveals, family, love, and Della Sloane take a hold of him. What happens to the country club workaholic is vital to the story. Just understand that he is NOT the usual type, he cares about money, yes, but he makes it himself. He doesn’t rely on anyone so that is so important to the story. Another reason to love Woods!

It really can get better if we get more of this series. When the development is woven and the characters are so rich, it is a shame to just say bye bye.  I think lovers of this series and the author would like to see Bethy get her story and I think Rush needs to get things ties up. Grant, oh my lovey can he please get a book? Maybe waiter Jimmy too? Well if I can ask for maybe one more Tripp? I would beg at this point for more. There is lots of steam, lots of drama and it is highly addictive! You have been warned, no go read!

Abbi now lives in the quaint southern town of Fairhope, Alabama with her three children and husband Keith (the high school sweetheart she chased after). Her life is never dull and Keith always makes sure there is another “experience” for them to explore.

Book Description:

Life outside of her house was a new experience for Della Sloane. The dark secrets of her past weren’t something she ever intended to share with anyone. They would never understand. No one would ever get close enough to find out. There was always a chance she’d go crazy sooner than they expected…

Woods Kerrington had never been one to be attracted to fragile females. They seemed like too much work. He wasn’t in it for the work just the pleasure. A night full of naughty fun had been exactly what was on his mind when he’d laid eyes on the hot little number that didn’t know how to pump gas and needed some help.

What he didn’t know was she was as fragile as they came.
The carefree girl who spoke her mind and didn’t care what the world thought of her was more breakable than he could ever imagine…

I want to make it known this is a gift from me. If I like a book and want to share it, I do it from my heart. That being said, the only reviews I will post are really good books that I personally have read and want others to enjoy. If you don’t want the book, then don’t enter to win a copy and cash it in for Amazon credit. This has caused me to again think of another way to show support to authors I love. When you do that it is a “return” and Amazon deducts from the author, not me.
