How can I do this review? I think maybe start by saying each book was great! The best part of the trilogy is that they are all there at once. Bingo instant gratification. So what if there is a cliffhanger, epilogue or a dreaded … You go on to the next one immediately  I don’t like to wait. In a small town, it’s hard to recover from being dumped by your high school sweetheart. That’s just what Briana has to do after Colin leaves her to follow his dreams. She focuses her energy into her friendships and the pursuit of her own goal of becoming a chef. Just when she finally feels like she’s on the right path, he comes back to town.

Colin knew breaking up with Briana before leaving for college was the right thing to do. So this book started of with a big sigh and a WTF was that? How could he do this? I guess in his small pea sized man brain he thought he was doing the right thing. When he thinks he has moved on and she holds the biggest grudge they are thrown together in the town where it all started. Collin may have a redeeming quality after all. Well this is a short, to the point, knock down drag it out book. I loved Bree and her feisty attitude is one to read an enjoy.

 

There is a lot of the small town feel to enjoy. Lovers of chick lit will grab it up and put Briana up on a pedestal which is where I think she belongs. The other star of the book was Kent. Please read it and understand why I adore him. The name Kent is very cool too!

Up until now, Nicole’s life has been mapped out for her. She’d go to college, marry Jake and become the upstanding minister’s wife. Poor me I didn’t think arranged marriages went on and especially in Texas. I guess when ministry issues and money rule, they are arranged or do we say anticipated? Either way Nicole has the biggest set of **** and left. YOU go girl! She was not having it! Going to a new begining, she meets Kent. Yes my doll Kent. He is not really resistant but has some lingering feelings about being jilted. An exceptional read (as any lover of Kent would say)

He had a love for his twin sister Roni that was probably the most fierce I have outside of a Kristen Ashley book. If anyone looked, said, or gestured inappropriately he was all over it. Love that in a man.

So this is another home run in my opinion. The cast of characters is great and the fact that there was angst, but bearable angst. After a lifetime of learning to protect his heart, can he finally let down his guard? Oh my read it!

Roni’s dreams of becoming a contemporary dancer were smashed under the brutal rage of her ex-husband’s fists. WOW! This was by far the best in the series. I am such a fan! That being said, I am so going to rave about this one too! Getting divorced and starting over was not something Roni thought she would do. When she arrived in the last book, I sort of loved her and knew there was depth there. This was a much more emotional read than the others. I thought the plot and the suspense aspect added to the reveal so much that the outcome was fireworks!

Rich, a player with a heart puts all his cash into opening a Rec Center. Now here come the Roni that was hidden under the shell. She turns out to be fun, loving and open. Great character development. Now I know there are so many people I want to see in the next book. Is there a next book? Gosh I hope so. The characters and this small town vibe is too good to waste. PLEASE dont waste it. I want more!

I love
a good love story. I reread the first kiss a few times before I read on…even
in my own books. That moment gets me every time no matter how often I revisit
that beautiful connection. I dive into every story to the point where I have so
many fictional boyfriends that I can’t keep track of them all.
In the world of reality, I have a loving and tolerant
husband who smiles and rolls his eyes every time I tell him about my latest
fictional love affair. I have two autistic pre-teen boys who keep me on my
toes. I have a psychotic Golden Retriever (I was told
those don’t exist…) and a cat that rules our house. I used to be the queen.
Our regal feline has usurped my throne and demoted me to Prime Minister.
I studied English/Journalism at Miami University in
Ohio, have a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from the University of
Dayton and I spent five years teaching even more personality-rich pre-teens.
For some sick reason, I actually enjoyed teaching junior high. Now as a
stay-at-home mom, I’m clinging to that status by throwing my hat in the

In book 1 Makenna found Daniel, now it is Kate’s turn. 

 

Kate is still the buffer in Makenna’s life. She shield her and enables her “freak outs” so to speak. Kate decides to join an online dating web site. So does Zander. Uh oh my oh my YES it is a great set up! This book is loaded with hot sexiness. Probably along the road Zander discovered that he should break the girl code. I know if your best friend and room mate was with a guy he is off limits. This time, with Mak, it was just sex. I totally fell in love with the characters. They were told in alternating points of view, so you didnt have to guess what the other was thinking or who had a different perspective. It was smart, funny and sexy. Kate searches for the ONE and the road to the ONE was bumpy, hilarious, and enjoyable. We also got the inside scoop on what a real male stripper goes through. I really did feel bad for him at times. He would come home and count the scratches and bruises. Yeesh some woman accost these men. I shows a different side of the career that was interesting.

Could a certain police officer in training, who has come to her rescue in the past, be the one to swoop in and save her heart? 

Seriously read book 1 and 2 and guess what? NO cliffhanger! Only a great book. I am equally thrilled book 3 is coming. Give a recommendation, tweet and a Facebook like. Let’s share this one!

Sort of a tough subject and I am at a loss where I start so I guess first up is the character of Jamie Grey. He is pretty rich in the sense that he was with a family as a foster kid for several years and just when he was about to get adopted the father figure for him passed away. It was sad learning about all of the homes and awful parents that exist. With respect to that, the author did an amazing job of showing the mental and sometimes physical abuse suffered at the hands of a foster parent. The story picks up Jamie at his senior year. He comes to the home of Beckett Chase. She is a nasty, complex and bitchy senior too. The two clash, making for a very unique web of lies. When I say that Beckett is the most adored and hated girl at the same time I mean it. It is hard to imagine but, YES someone can be in the hated popular girl clique.

What I really enjoyed was the hateful girls. I always adore angst, this one serves it up hot and fresh.

Each chapter stated with another reference and quote about the constellations. Jamie is so into astronomy and Beckett just happens to have glow in the dark sparkling stars on her ceiling. They sort of bond over Jamie explaining some of the.

 
 The author did a great job with Beckett’s family. Her parents David and Marla whom she refers to as David and Marla, provide the right swift kick in her ass when she needs it.Usually you would think that the parents being privileged would overlook some of Beckett’s behavior, but no they don’t. I like how her mom calls her out and knows when she is telling the truth.  
 
Being Beckett Chase has never “wanted” or needed anything, and it is not flaunted was another plus. I appreciated that there were no references to her glamour or the BMW she drives. It was a “nice and cozy” life, but nothing that screamed typical. For that I was thankful.
 
With a twist of events causing Jamie and Beckett’s worlds to collide, will they be able to put aside their differences or will fate intervene offering an entirely different option?
The addition of Samantha as the first sort of best friend Jamie has is bizarre. It is one of those small world stories. Sam is the one and only person who Jamie feels close to. So once again kudos for the mind blowing addition of Sam!
