His Muse by Kemmie Michaels #giveaway @KemmieM @wrnmk_

Synopsis:

On vacation in the tropical paradise of St. Lucia…

Martin and Abby never intended to meet anyone while
they were away. Circumstance, however, pushes them together in spite of their
expectations. With an entire vacation week with nothing to do but spend time
together, Martin and Abby forge a connection unlike anything either had felt
before. With Abby’s conservative nature and Martin’s refusal to be the player
he had once been, the couple keeps themselves physically apart…until they
can’t.

They collide into a friction that sparks a blazing
need to stay together. Keeping the heat alive from opposite ends of the
country, though, may prove too difficult. Distance and circumstance become very
ugly words in this couple’s vocabulary.

I love
a good love story. I reread the first kiss a few times before I read on…even
in my own books. That moment gets me every time no matter how often I revisit
that beautiful connection. I dive into every story to the point where I have so
many fictional boyfriends that I can’t keep track of them all.
In the world of reality, I have a loving and tolerant
husband who smiles and rolls his eyes every time I tell him about my latest
fictional love affair. I have two autistic pre-teen boys who keep me on my
toes.
I have a psychotic Golden Retriever (I was told
those don’t exist…) and a cat that rules our house. I used to be the queen.
Our regal feline has usurped my throne and demoted me to Prime Minister.
I studied English/Journalism at Miami University in
Ohio, have a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from the University of
Dayton and I spent five years teaching even more personality-rich pre-teens.
For some sick reason, I actually enjoyed teaching junior high. Now as a
stay-at-home mom, I’m clinging to that status by throwing my hat in the
author’s ring and hoping I get to keep it there.

True Bliss (Bliss #2) by B.J. Harvey @bjharveyauthor @TheBookAvenue #review

Book 1 was the set up so if you have not read it, please read it.

In book 1 Makenna found Daniel, now it is Kate’s turn.

Kate is still the buffer in Makenna’s life. She shield her and enables her “freak outs” so to speak. Kate decides to join an online dating web site. So does Zander. Uh oh my oh my YES it is a great set up! This book is loaded with hot sexiness. Probably along the road Zander discovered that he should break the girl code. I know if your best friend and room mate was with a guy he is off limits. This time, with Mak, it was just sex. I totally fell in love with the characters. They were told in alternating points of view, so you didnt have to guess what the other was thinking or who had a different perspective. It was smart, funny and sexy. A true must read!    hottie stripper 3

Kate searches for the ONE and the road to the ONE was bumpy, hilarious, and enjoyable. We also got the inside scoop on what a real male stripper goes through. I really did feel bad for him at times. He would come home and count the scratches and bruises. Yeesh some woman accost these men. I shows a different side of the career that was interesting.

hottie stripper 4

Could a certain police officer in training, who has come to her rescue in the past, be the one to swoop in and save her heart?

Seriously read book 1 and 2 and guess what? NO cliffhanger! Only a great book. I am equally thrilled book 3 is coming. Give a recommendation, tweet and a Facebook like. Let’s share this one!

*Disclaimer: This book contains a hot as hell stripper with a penchant for public sex and exhibitionism who may or may not succeed in bringing out the inner firecracker in all of us. Oh, and don’t forget the batteries.*

Temporary Bliss (Bliss #1) by B.J. Harvey @bjharveyauthor @TheBookAvenue #review

*Disclaimer – There is absolutely no cheating in this book. However, this book does contain descriptive and super hot sex scenes that will make you blush and leave you hot and bothered. Make sure you have you husband, partner, boyfriend or significant other nearby when reading, or else batteries. Lots and lots of batteries*

Makenna Lewis cringes at any mention of the word commitment. She doesn’t want or need a relationship, but she does like sex (who doesn’t).
That explains Noah, Sean, and Zander, her three ‘friends with benefits’.

They know the score, they know they’re not the only one, and each of them provide her with a different physical need that she craves and enjoys.

Until a late night encounter with the delicious Daniel Winters turns her preconceived notion of no-commitment completely on its head.
Soon she finds herself feeling things she vowed never to feel again, and when Daniel pushes for more than she’s willing to give, she falters.

What do you do when something that you’ve known to be so wrong in the past feels so damn right?

If you’re Mac, you run and hide.

But is Daniel the type of man who takes no for an answer?

Yes you can have sex, dirty sex, friendship, love and happiness in 1 book. This was it. Great characters with a lot to offer. I totally loved the writing style. It started off pretty scary with a few scenes of gripping terror and then got naughty pretty fast. Very unique. Expect to be dazzled and YEAH you need batteries or a lover!

Sort of a tough subject and I am at a loss where I start so I guess first up is the character of Jamie Grey. He is pretty rich in the sense that he was with a family as a foster kid for several years and just when he was about to get adopted the father figure for him passed away. It was sad learning about all of the homes and awful parents that exist. With respect to that, the author did an amazing job of showing the mental and sometimes physical abuse suffered at the hands of a foster parent. The story picks up Jamie at his senior year. He comes to the home of Beckett Chase. She is a nasty, complex and bitchy senior too. The two clash, making for a very unique web of lies. When I say that Beckett is the most adored and hated girl at the same time I mean it. It is hard to imagine but, YES someone can be in the hated popular girl clique.

What I really enjoyed was the hateful girls. I always adore angst, this one serves it up hot and fresh.

Each chapter stated with another reference and quote about the constellations. Jamie is so into astronomy and Beckett just happens to have glow in the dark sparkling stars on her ceiling. They sort of bond over Jamie explaining some of the.

The author did a great job with Beckett’s family. Her parents David and Marla whom she refers to as David and Marla, provide the right swift kick in her ass when she needs it.Usually you would think that the parents being privileged would overlook some of Beckett’s behavior, but no they don’t. I like how her mom calls her out and knows when she is telling the truth.

Being Beckett Chase has never “wanted” or needed anything, and it is not flaunted was another plus. I appreciated that there were no references to her glamour or the BMW she drives. It was a “nice and cozy” life, but nothing that screamed typical. For that I was thankful.

With a twist of events causing Jamie and Beckett’s worlds to collide, will they be able to put aside their differences or will fate intervene offering an entirely different option?
The addition of Samantha as the first sort of best friend Jamie has is bizarre. It is one of those small world stories. Sam is the one and only person who Jamie feels close to. So once again kudos for the mind blowing addition of Sam!

A Sip Of You (Book 2 in the bestselling The Epicurean series) by Sorcha Grace #Release @SorchaGrace

When undeniable chemistry becomes an unquenchable thirst…

A SIP OF YOU

18300323

“At the taste of him mixed with the bright yet delicate flavors of the rosé, my thoughts flashed back to Napa, to our night with the honey and handcuffs and his scorching hot kisses…”

Twenty-five year-old Catherine Kelly’s food photography career in Chicago is taking off and the handsome stormy-eyed stranger who recently rocked her world has become (dare she say it?) her boyfriend. Dating a billionaire who’s a god in the bedroom and a virtuoso in the kitchen definitely has its perks. But it’s the unguarded, tender moments with William that stir Cat’s heart and reawaken her appetite for love.

A weekend trip to William’s vineyard so he can face a painful loss puts their new relationship to the test. Complex and layered, William is at once passionate and sweet, but also prickly and guarded. He’s promised openness, but it becomes immediately clear that Cat’s version of honesty and his are as different as chardonnay and pinot noir. It’s hard to fault William for his secretive ways when Cat knows she’s holding back, too. As the attraction between them gets even hotter, Catherine and William must share all of their secrets before their relationship can truly begin. And little does Cat know how dangerous confronting their pasts will be. Book 2 in the bestselling The Epicurean series.

Searching For Tomorrow by Kathryn McNeill Crane @MeanGirlsLuvBks @KCrane_katiemac #spotlight

Some people are blessed to find that one certain person who
completes them.

Wrynn’s yesterdays were what others only dream of having. She and
Tripp were the best of friends before they even thought about love. They had
the fairy tale life where ‘like’ turns into ‘love’, and ‘love’ becomes ‘happily
ever after’.

What happens when life conspires against you, and snatches your
soul mate from your arms?

…only her forever love ended much too soon.

Broken beyond her own ability to repair, Wrynn boxes up her grief
and attempts to raise her three girls the best she can on her own. As time
slowly passes, Wrynn relives her life with Tripp while struggling most days to
get out of bed. She is reminded of him at every turn.

How do you set your grief and anguish aside? How do you pick up the
shattered pieces, put those pieces back together again, and try to move on?

Wrynn tries to find the joy in life every single day through her
daughters, family, and friends. Her twin brother Liam has dedicated himself to
helping Wrynn put her life back together after losing his own love. On the
other hand, her mother-in-law lives to torment her at every turn. Wrynn can’t
even find a chance to breathe, much less a desire to somehow search for her
tomorrow.

If you are reading this, I think you should know that “About
me” sounds so very pretentious to me. I guess that is what I am supposed
to write about, so here it goes!

Kathryn is a simple country girl who likes to spend time with her
hubba, hunka hubby, her three kids and her friends. She loves to cook and
really loves to eat! During the spring and summer, you will more than likely
find her outside puttering around in her garden. When the veggies start coming
in, she will probably be sweating over a hot canner in the kitchen, canning all
the goodies she is blessed with. Kathryn likes to hike and go camping, and as a
Girl Scout leader, she gets to do this pretty often! On cold winter nights, you
will probably find her wrapped in a warm blanket, lost in a good book, while
sitting in her rocking chair on the front porch!

Kathryn was born and raised in North Carolina, and while she loves
to travel, she can’t imagine ever leaving the mountains that she has come to
call home. Not a day goes by that Kathryn doesn’t thank God for abundantly
blessing her. He has been so good to her, and she is very grateful. She holds
Jeremiah 29:11 very close to her heart and believes it with every fiber of her
being. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
future.”
Kathryn loves flip flops, chocolate, sweet tea and dirt between her
toes. As far back as she can remember, she’s had a book in her hand. Reading
has carried her to places she will never go. It has introduced her to people
that she will never meet. When life is great and when it is rough, she’s always
been able to find a book to carry her through. She finally decided to write
down some of the stories in her head (yes, be scared) and heart after dawdling
around and wasting years dreaming. She hopes you enjoy reading those stories as
much as she loves writing them!

Star of Bethlehem by Sarah Saltry @SarahDaltry

1c48c-synopsisblogback

Jack isn’t a rock star. He’s not the leader of a MC. He isn’t a billionaire. Lily’s not the daughter of a mob boss, or a stripper, or a virgin with a BDSM fascination. They’re just regular college kids, who somehow found each other in the middle of all the crap and chaos of growing up.

“With you, Jack, it was the first time I ever felt real. It was the first time anyone looked at me and saw substance. It was the first time I wanted to make someone see me.”

Jack and Lily have navigated his past, her desire to move on from her family’s demands of her, his depression, and her loneliness. Now, on New Year’s Eve, they have an entire year laid out ahead of them. First, though, Jack needs to meet Lily’s family, to be welcomed into her life. It’s intimidating, but with a sweater that is way too hot and his grandmother’s ugly car, he arrives at Lily’s gleaming house on a hill, ready to open himself up completely to her.

Inside the perfect, sparkling house, Lily waits for the boy she has come to love. But Lily’s house and family are a lot like her – shiny and pretty on the outside, with a sad emptiness on the interior. Lily wants to give Jack the one thing he has always dreamed of – family and love – but can she keep him from seeing how hollow a lot of the picture perfect life he fantasizes about really is?

This is a novella length work that follows Forget Me Not and Lily of the Valley.

Sarah Daltry writes erotica and romance that ranges from sweet to steamy. She moves around a lot and has trouble committing to things. Lily of the Valley is her third full length novel, although she also has several story collections and two novellas available. Her other novels are Forget Me Not, the story that tells Lily’s version of events, and Bitter Fruits, which was available shortly, but is now in the contract phase with a major publisher. When Sarah isn’t writing, she tends to waste a lot of time checking Facebook for pictures of cats, shooting virtual zombies, and simply staring out the window.
