Reflected in You (Crossfire, #2) by Sylvia Day

hhhmmmm no ideas are coming into my pea sized brain at 1:15 am. I know I need to write a review but, after honestly being tortured by Gideon and his insatiable appetite I am exhausted. I honestly feel that the last 25% made up for the heart break I suffered through. Many times I just asked my fictional, gorgeous, hot, rich, and sex crazed book boyfriend to try to be happy. I really couldnt take so many ups and downs. I think it was in a way saying something over and over and trying to convince me that it was good. I really wanted them to get a HEA story, I needed it and craved it.

Like the first book I was so glad that therapy was there. I was glad Cary was emotionally and physically there for Eva too. The first book had me concerned. Yes I think they are really there in my head and maybe sometimes I talk to them, like I said to me they are REAL. So … the misconceptions and accusations were flying to the point I needed a shot of something myself. A lot was never dealt with and I am happy there is a 3rd book. I need closure and a mental health therapist for (in this order of priority) Gideon, Eva, Mr and Mrs Stanton, Cary, and possibly the Crossfire staff and admin personnel.

What I loved about the ending, and by that I mean the last 20-25% was that there was a reveal. Yeah I think it was a crappy reveal that left me hungry for more. What I need is the third book a bottle of wine and maybe Krav session in Brooklyn. That ain’t gonna happen, but in my mind I can only imagine.

Creed (Unfinished Hero, #2) by Kristen Ashley

First I must say this was by far the most emotional book of Kristen Ashley’s I have read. She really has a way of wording things that make you think “How can I be that direct and get the same response?”

First off this is the first past/present book she wrote that I remember. I liked it. I loved the bond that Tucker and Sylvie had. What I loved more was the explanation when it comes up as to why Sylvie calls him Creed. This was the ultimate bond and I don’t think I have read one like this since Paulina Simmons. When I use Paulina I mean business.

The characters of course come back including Knight. We all get the Nick Sebring is a bad apple part and that blows up too. The fact that Hector and Lee are in this is outrageous too. Is there anything Lee Nightingale cant touch? He is like all over the place taking care of business. Yummy

So to Sylvie, I adored her and I swear I think Kristen is Sylvie. Something about the description and the attitude that tells me I am right. In my world I am right. Also the way that Sylvie does things, makes me think she is the ultimate KA creation because she does them right. She never messes up and doesn’t need Indie or anyone to scoop her up, she is like a ninja.

I am going to babble more in my mind. Last time this was freakin awesome and I really would read it again. Don’t usually do that but the heat factor was off the chart and out of range.

Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teasers:

Who wouldn’t like that? A Harley elevated anyone’s badass status about seven thousand levels.

Rock Hard (Sinners on Tour #2) by Olivia Cunning‏

Rock Hard (Sinners on Tour, #2)

Well after this book I am on a 3 book roll and have a mad crush on Olivia Cunning. I really have to say that this was fantastic! I can not wait till the 3rd book comes out. I can not even put into words how well these guys get each other. At one point Myrna told Jess to leave Sed and Brian to kick the shit out of each other and Jess was like wth. I so love Myrna too. There really isnt one that I don’t like. I would totally be a band groupie for the Sinners tour.

This book really gets into how Sed is and the the back story of the Jessica fiasco. Even though Sed and Brian will fight they love each other and Sed is the psychological “fixer” of the band. He will do what needs to get done because he is that strong.

So when Jessica Chase comes back into his life you will throw your hands up and scream and the book! It is like such a shock even though you sort of saw the entire thing coming.

More challenges hit the guys and it was much more emotional than the first book. I think all of their relationships are tested and then strengthened at the same time. You will see what I mean when you get the dialogue between Jessica and Brian.

The turning point for Sed, Jessica, Trey and Brian will be resolved. The steam is just off the fckn charts!! Nobody writes like that. 50 who? that is what I am thinking.

The Vincent Boys’ by Abbi Glines

This book gets you wrapped up in the emotions! That’s how I felt reading The Vincent Boys. Once I started, I couldn’t stop.

Beau, Sawyer, and Ashton were inseparable growing up, and Ashton and Beau were best friends. That is, until the boys started to notice that Ashton was changing in ways they didn’t really expect. Pretty soon, it wasn’t Ashton, her best friend Beau, and his cousin Sawyer; it was Ashton, her boyfriend Sawyer, and his cousin Beau. And Beau just sat back and watched for years, because Sawyer had moved first. But that didn’t mean he liked what he saw. He saw Ashton changing again. She was trading in her fun-loving side for a girl who visited the nursing home on a regular basis, who never smarted off at anyone, and who never really spoke her mind. Then, when Sawyer goes on vacation, Ashton seems to remember what it was like to cut loose and begins to miss that part of her life. So she turns to the one person she knows will remember: Beau.

The chemistry between Ashton and Beau was like OMG so hot! What a story I loved their interactions and banter. In hindsight, perhaps Beau VERY much a bad boy who LOVED Ash beyond anything else.

I liked Sawyer, because he loved the pure Ashton and has so much respect for her. Especially that she was the preachers daughter

If you’re looking for a good true love story to read read with fantastic characters, a good plot, and swoon-worthy scenes, The Vincent Boys is right up your ally!

Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour #1) by Olivia Cunning

Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour #1)

Just AMAZING!! I feel like I am Stephon on Saturday Night Live saying this but this book had it all! The best rock stars, idols, bad secrets from the past, emotional baggage and even though Myrna wouldn’t say it I will say LOVE! I don’t want to babble on about the book and the characters and where the writing was going, it is not that kinds book. This is the kind that several times you throw your hand to your mouth and say “Holy shit he did not just do that”?

So this is about the entire “persona” behind a real band. The way all the characters blend and grow together is so awesome. I loved it from beginning to end. Anything I would say about how each person held a different character flaw would just not do justice to it. I mean seriously how can you not love Brian? Talk about perfection. Each member of the band had a strong personality that caused the fights, the love and the story.

As for the plot, it was pretty fast paced with a lot of steam. What else do I say? READ it NOW!! I am gushing now!!
