Heading to the beach with a new book

Jaci Burton is one of my favorite authors I love her type of fluff! This one was missing something and I think that maybe Savannah was keeping her family and lack of a secret but then when we found out about her Mother it was no big deal. I mean nothing compared to Liz and Tara and what they grew up in and around. It seemed maybe a little less important than the others in this series.

What I loved was the Riley family and of course having Kathleen and Uncle Jimmy back behind the bar was cool too. I love that at the time when Savannah was doubting herself she confided in Liz and was shocked when Liz didn’t ask what was up, but instead told her she knew everything. I think that is when Savannah turned herself around realizing that she would have Tara, Liz, Julia and Alicia as sisters if she was open to them.

There was of course tons of steam and that was without a doubt 5* smoking heat

Wrong Bed, Right Guy (Come Undone #1) by Katee Robert.

Just released and starting it now

This book had it all! laughs, loves, friendships and sex! The plot was just hilarious. I laughed when Elle, who was in deep like with her artsy painter gallery boss Nathan, decides to slips into his bed. When it is not him, but his brother Gabe, I almost fell off the chair. She was mortified and I felt so bad for her. When all was cleared up and Gabe finds out who she is he decides he wants to go out with her. He is discussing Elle with his brother Nathan and Nathan tells him that he knew Elle was trying to get him to go out on a date but Nathan wasn’t interested. He tells Gabe go for it.

There were a few ups and downs. Some were sad and a little heartbreaking but it showed that Elle just needed a little push to help her in the right direction. Sometimes a man can really mess with a girls outlook on future men and relationships. Bitch slap someone for that! If you want a great read try this one.

Looked forward to this and I started it last night. All I say is WOW I was laughing so hard in the first few chapters and already got to 70%. Fab book

Next TBR pile that grows everyday

Clash (Crash 2) by Nicole Williams.

I really enjoyed the hell out of this book. It was the perfect sequel to Crash. What was different about this one was the way that every character evolves. From Lucy’s Dad who was pretty much a recluse was actually going out. As for her Mom, she changed too and started to connect with Lucy in a way that she never did before. In the first book when Jude was revealed as the son of Lucy’s brothers killer I waqs crushed. That was so huge I out the book down and was shaking my head. It seriously came so far out of left field. Not that that wasn’t enough but when Lucy discovers that her Dad knew long ago I was blown away. I also didn’t see Jude being so angry at the Larson family. When it came time for Jude to express his anger I was also shocked that he had such a valid point. If not for his Dad becoming so depressed over his job, he wouldn’t have freaked and done the things that lead to Lucy’s brother being shot. All in all it was a great healing moment when Lucy’s Dad said he figured it out and that he didn’t blame Jude for anything his Dad did. 

So this book takes place in New York. Lucy leaves sunny California for Julliard. Soon after he quirky and bold rom mate India drags her to a football game where it turns out Jude was. Lucy had no idea that Jude took the football scholarship and was in New York. They reunited and it was awesome! In this book the ups and downs were greater than before. A few times Jude asked Lucy point blank why she did something and instead of saying for him or his love she said for herself. When Adriana Vix enters the equations Lucy tries to hold back but jealousy gets the best of her. Then Jude questions her motives and they go their separate ways.

The only thing Jude has ever wanted was for Lucy to admit to him how she feels and say they belong together. For so many reasons Lucy just holds back and needs to go on her own self discovery mission. It hurts a lot to read those passages too!

My heart broke too many times and for that I love the author. What a tangled web. I think the ending was what I wanted and hoped for. I was thrilled that Jude used his brains and came so far. As for Lucy she overcame her parents ridicule and her own feelings about her brother. 

This was riddled with turmoil. heartbreak and love. I totally say go buy it NOW but not before you read Crash!
