OK so the wait for Tank was too long My angst meter was on high. I hate Nick and what Sass had to become. Another fab book!

I love the style of this because it is what I think most people relate to. In some MC clubs there is violence. Im not talking bar fights and nasty women, Im talking abuse and rape. This is unlike others so if you want to know what the motorcycle clubs are about check this series out. I made a rhyme! They are all about custom bikes, repairs, general transporting, and kicking back with some ladies. Yes there are bar girls but nothing too out of control. The family bonds built within the Hellions MC are forever. Once you read the back story of Tank it will show the depths of his character. He is something else!

So for Sass in book 1: We left her off where she is trying to repeat her mantra about leaving. She desperately tries to convince herself that Tank is not for her. She longs for him, at times in book one I felt so sad for her. I wasnt sure about Nick and to be honest her wanting to leave too. It seems when you grow up inside a club they are an extended family. I loved how they took care of each other. She doesnt want to be there waiting for her man to come back from a road trip or a transport job that takes weeks. I get it. What she does is go to see Tank every single day. Im like seriously honey move on and stay with Nick. I know she doesnt want to be with Nick. So we stick with her as she alienates herself from Doll, her best friend, and the entire club. The drama of Sass trying to be a trophy girlfriend is light and sometimes funny to read.

When Tank has his “scenes” he is hearing every word that is said around him. He repeatedly tells himself to come out of the dark. No matter what he tries he cant seem to get up. He thinks snd even responds though not out loud, but is just too tired and feels sleep take him away. He hears Roundman speak of club issues that would normally have him jumping out of the bed, but this time he cant even twitch. This goes on for a while. The entire hospital stay is therapy for the the visitors. They all visit, complain, confess, tell him to get up and he does hear them.

It is tormenting to see Sass visit him, confess her fears and then leave. I LOVED this book and cant wait for the next one.

One night of shadows. One night of bliss. One night of evil. Seriously from the cover it is sort of nondescript. I like the cover but this is a fab book that is more of an erotic thriller. I loved the plot! The story starts with Katherine Vandercamp, aka Kate finding her fiance Josh with his former girlfriend Carol. It looked very suspicious, she was not convinced, ME on the other hand I was ready to thrown down! Beat him and then Carol and go get drunk. Not Kate she goes to her best friend Michelle and wants to cry. Michelle (who was my favorite character) tells her that she has plans with Eric, but will cancel. Kate tells her friend it isnt necessary and then makes a joke about going with them. Michelle who has a swingers sort of relationship with her boyfriend gets Katie to say she will go. Go where you ask? Oh to an exclusive sex club. Private and exclusive will ensure her being anonymous. 

 

 

At this point Michelle and Eric give Katie an alias just to assure her that nobody will know the Vandercamp heiress was at this club.  Get READY Ivanna Gettoff I almost spit up! 

 

 

Moving on Kate has her one night with her dream lover. I will say at this point the author does a phenomenal job being very very very descriptive. For me, well I was gobbling it all up. What a glorious night. I know readers will gobble it up too. 

 

Two days goes by and the new that the club Manager and greeter Ms Carmen was murdered. Who did it? Who is arrested??? Yes the dream lover Luke Davenport, owner of Davenport Associates, Michelle’s boss and…dum dum dum Josh’s boss. 

HOLY *** From here until the end the author weaves a who dun-it, love story, friendship and murder mystery rolled into one. I wholeheartedly recommend this one. Between Michelle and her smart mouth, Kate’s rich and snobby parents Josh being a cheater and Luke aka Mr Pumpernickel 

I was tearing through this book. I will say it is like a James Patterson with an erotic edge. It was just so darn good

Another great book and ya know on the last page it says there will be a book 3. NO cliffhanger either! Just more of the characters we love and those we love to hate.

What you get in book 2 is the continuation of a few characters so there is familiarity. Loving Jeremy and Mattie in book one brings them back for a few memorable scenes. This one is much more intricate in the reveals. There is a new character Kelly and her sidekick assistant Rodney. Both of them are not at all trusting and she is wanting to steal Hard Reign from Laurel. There is an element of danger when it comes to these two.

As for the character of Laurel, I loved her! I also loved her assistant Sarah. Both together bring a light hearted comedy effect to the book. There is a certain fear of elevators that Laurel has and Sarah is scared of flying. Things like this make you feel connected to them, they seem normal. It makes then not only likable, but lovable and real.

The buildup was a long one. Well worth the wait because there are a few people who could be evil enough to try to break up not only the band but Laurel and Cade. So believe me this is a thrilling chick lit read! Grab it up

Read it fast and furious like I did. It is NOT at all a chick lit or romance novel it is much much more

OK a few hours of sleep and now I am ready. Book 1 showed us the author had a great group of characters and displayed betrayal and drug abuse. Book 2 shows us that people can overcome drug addictions and function in society. Featuring Bridget and Justin both who had struggled with addiction. Book 3 goes back to War. The suicide and depression angle was great.

When War meets Shaina it is something special. These two are at a life impasse. I loved the struggles they both faced. The author does a great service to her readers showing them that everyone at one time or another thinks about suicide. People often feel worthless or under so much pressure they imagine peace. For War, losing his mother was hard. I think in book 1 he struggled with her and her parenting skills. I say that loosely. Now Shaina is a sitcom teen star, but really 21. She has pressure because she is holding onto the memories that haunt her. I loved how she wanted to help War overcome. Shaina thought her sister Cass’ suicide was preventable. Truth be told if you are in a dark place sometimes there really is no saving you.

They struggle through her family and the extreme pressure put on her acting career and War’s old band.

Truthfully this was the best book in the series for me anyways. Please grab this series especially if you backstage band drama.

Now on a side note. If you do an author the service of reading their work in an ARC format I think you know what the genre is, if not then clue yourself into the cover. Just looking at the blurb and cover tells you it is going to be steamy. So dont take the book if you are a prude, have a problem with steamy sex scenes, or have a closed mind. It behooves me to see anyone write a 3 star review for this book. I dont like Vampires and I am friends with several authors who write them and I wont review them cause I hate them.
