A Humble Heart (Hollywood Hearts #1)
Sam and Wade from the first book are here, as well as Pace and Holly. There are so many more that I can see added for book 3, 4 and 5. Anyways I want Gage to be in the next one….lala Back to the topic The problem is Sam & Wade have a history. When his Dad and her nephew come along it is an all out public relations nightmare. When some things about the relationship might be more real than either of them planned.
Jill Shalvis is probably one of my favorite authors. She has a way of giving her characters relate-able stories and a realness about them. Their problems are real and not overblown. It was the usual smart quotes at the chapters beginning, smart and funny style I adore.
I had a hard time putting this book down, what else is new I am becoming a chick lit addict I’m looking forward to more from this series. Gage, the Jeremy gets his act together and maybe Tag grows up?? Publisher messed up the title for sequel in the first book and after I got through the second it told me to read the first.

I love this author and of course the book was great too. Joe (Josephine) and Eric knew each other since they were 8 years old and have been through it all. I guess he always protected her and was a good brother to her. They were not actual siblings but her Mom, was a carefree woman and gladly handed Joe over to Alice Nathan and Eric’s Mother and she lived with them from the age of 14 on. After years they had been best friends and partners being both EMT’s Eric told Joe there was something between them, then the love story starts in between the EMT’s saga and Alice trying to set both the boys up on dates. Cute banter and I enjoyed it
This is a book that is impossible to put down. I was actually shocked at how interesting the story was and how everything was tied together. Clay is a sweetheart from the beginning and you can’t help but wonder where he fits into the story along the way. Hannah is a little confusing and frustrating but I guess that is part of the point. It was one of the most suspenseful books I have read in a while. I wanted to see where, or who, everything ended with. Although at the end I was a little disapointed in the overall message of the book, it was still a great, quick read that appeals to guys and girls. The voice changes from Hannah to Clay throughout the story which gives for a much needed breather in between the sections and helps explain certain parts.
I have wanted to read this book for a while and I am not at all disapointed. It’s easy to see how suicide changes not only the lives of the person or immediate family members, but others who were touched by the person along the way
OK the premise of this book just did not make sense to me at all. That is when you know you are involved. When you are yelling at your Kindle “Lexi please don’t” The reason Jack got a hold of Alexa (Lexi)after 2 years was so his current girlfriend could move in with him. Apparently her family said she couldnt move in with him unless she was engaged. So Bekah wants to meet all of his ex gf’s. For Jack he wants to show her he was able to commit. Just odd I think I should digest that one a little more! Was Jack thinking of proposing all along? NO clue! I think he eats, breathes and dreams lies, but who knows. I think at the six year mark of falling back for Lexi at every corner would have made for a good read without the reason of Bekah needing other peoples assurances. She was manipulative and made for a great nemesis for Lexi.
I know that Lexi and Jack are drawn together and the entire book was a testament to that. So Bekah even talking to Lexi was just weird and the fact that she flew to be part of his charade was odd and sort of self torturous. I get she needed closure but it was a tough route to get to the highway of goodbye! The ending blew me away, no spoilers but wow!! Without a doubt this was on my top 10 fave books. I related to so many parts of this book and it was just so good and had the best friend Chyna who I think we all love throughout this book she was Lexi’s rock. Between Lexi and Chyna there was never any bull.Chyna was a straight forward love me or leave me girl. I loved the way she was with men, she told them to leave and when she was done she was done. Just have to adore that side of a character.
I think the INDIE’s need to tweet and Facebook more like this so our authors who are enormously talented are recognized. Jack and Lexi never had a typical relationship, they were never committed to each other.
IN THE END finding out what happens to Lexi as she travels to Atlanta to get the closure she so needs from Jack, and how the obstacles in their life get in the way. There is a sequel so you will have a heafty dose of Lexi, Jack, Chyna Bekah, and Ramsey.

I loved this one. Another fabulous book. This one also, like other by the amazing RL Mathewson, made me laugh so hard in parts of Jamie dialogue! She was just so believable and most of the time adorable. I was glad to see Edward and Dana back along with Nick. A little bit of fun, with seriousness and a stalker, in other words perfect!!
I am such a huge fan of this author and I am NEVER disappointed with anything she writes.
WOW what a great book. I love when I get immersed into the book and feel the characters in the first chapter. I loved Detective Jackson Cantrell (Jack) and Dr. Michaela Roarke (everyone calls he Dr Mike). When the book started I have to say the main reason I liked it was Michaela, she was the aggressor and pursued Jack. All is hot and steamy and then he wakes up and she is gone. A few weeks later the story gets woven into a political intrigue and a scandal. Someone takes pictures of Michaela with Jackson, nobody knows it is him all they show is he face. He realized in a few seconds that she was his one nighter and now knows her Dad is the Governor.
The stalker is attacking and Jackson moves into Michaela’s house to protect her. Now the Gov. tries to blackmail Jack saying you watch her and I will get your old FBI job back. He accepts. Now how does he get through this and how can he tell her?
There are so many suspense filled pages. Just loved the last two reveals. I can see a series here ….hint hint Ms Covington. So impressed and say it is a fab read with steam!

I struggled with this book as usual I got into it too fast. I love the books where there is an America. To tell the truth I would want her to be my bff too. Abby and Travis were simply amazing. His fighting career scared the crap out of me. I was reading the fight scenes in a panic. I guess college life made me sort of immune to the aspects of their fights. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought the author wrote all of those scenes really well too.
So that being said I wait patiently for Walking Disaster. Shepley and Travis were a very dynamic duo. He knew Travis and his emotional outlets and they were as thick as thieves. They both equally shared fear about Abby and how America was warned that he didnt want a girl coming between them. I get that Travis was in his own world and Shepley didnt want his girls bff to be one discarded “couch mate”. The way that Mrs McGuire wrote the friendships was really the best part. I loved Finch and Brazil and how they were all loved and accepted. Anyone who has ever had a friend or boyfriend hold your hair while you get sick understands! That is unconditional love. The fights among all of them were real life fights. I love my girls and I know we had fights the same as their foursome did, and still they have a special place in my forever.
To describe the fierce love that they both felt for each other would be a disservice, so I say intense and emotional. They went through it all and that is what made this fantastic. I think that they were just drawn to each other and each of them tried to fight it but they could not. The reveals about Travis’ family and Abby’s was fantastic. I didnt see her past coming and didnt expect it once it was there.
The ending was beautiful and I for one say five ***** stars LOVED it
