What I liked was the World War II time period and references. The backstory of Ben and how he and his family arrive in Minnesota is well written. The way Ben is intrigued with a tunnel and actually seeing soldiers one day is what sort of starts him on this path of intrigue.
Now Ben has moved to Forks, MN with his family and has become a boxer with a promising future. Then his father and a neighbor are brutally murdered and it begins to look as if the incident in the tunnel is the focal point. The FBI becomes involved and there is blackmail and a whole lot of mystery. I say read it especially if you are Stuart Woods fans. This is much like a Stone Barrington novel. The plot and set up of the investigation is wonderful and it will keep you entertained.
As for the other characters I loved Agent Dokes and Agent Book. These are the two assigned with Edward and Karlis’ case. They provide the exact amount of FBI needed to keep the plot moving along. There is a really well set up for the plot with these two and what they uncover. All in all a must read!
A SUITCASE MYSTERY, is a rather unique read that needs to be experienced. Try it out yourself and see what everyone is talking about. Debby at SingleTitles.com
