Such a great story here. If you are a New Adult fan or a romance with a drama filled plot then grab this book NOW. I loved the main character Peyton. She was raised by her Grandma in New Orleans and took over her Grandma’s recipes and started a very successful pie shop. Not cakes, cookies or fudge but pie. She had a sense for who liked what kind of pie and could guess them immediately. I liked that because it was one of the unique traits of the character. So her best friend Quinn and her Brother Griffin helped Peyton through some tough times.
Now for Quinn. there is a lot to like about her but I think most is her fierce loyalty to Peyton. She is a very protective friend. The same lightness is offered up for her and her unique talent. Quinn has a thing for underwear. Many references are made her to her along with her quite charming ways of naming panties. It is just this lightness that balances her and her OCD tendencies. Bret her boyfriend is a dream. His best friend Reed, well ….. my oh my he is fine. He is a player who falls for Peyton.
Now more on the Reed front. I liked him because he did recognize that he was living a life of leisure with a variety of ladies. OK now he gets into Peyton and he is taken by her. Is it enough to change his ways?
This has so many deep parts. The characters are all bonded together very tight. There is a secret reveal for Peyton that is huge and then one small. Reed and Griffin provide the drama.
I swear worse than a girl on her period in a chocolate haze coma.
Lastly I saved my favorite character for last. Dr Lorraine. There really are no words to describe how freakin awesome this therapist is. She is smart, funny, and determined to help Peyton. She says the funniest things in a one liner type way. I would love to have a Dr. Lorraine series. There is one part where she tells Peyton to got shopping and well Peyton says no to retail therapy and the Doctor suggests daily masturbation. Peyton went shopping! LMAO just had to give you a taste of her brilliance.
The author does a great job with her style and the correct level of drama. I loved it can you tell?
