About Me – A True Book Lover
I’ve always loved books and reading—they’re my escape, my joy, and my passion. My Kindle is practically glued to my hand! I’m drawn to romance, mysteries, chick lit, detective stories, and suspenseful page-turners. I’ve devoured every Stuart Woods and James Patterson book I could get my hands on. I especially enjoy series like Stone Barrington and Michael Bennett—they can stand alone, but reading them from the beginning gives you the full experience.
I started this blog out of a deep respect for authors and a desire to share what I truly love. I wanted a space that wasn’t commercial or hyped by empty reviews. Too often, I picked up a “highly rated” book only to wonder… why? So here, I only write about books that I personally love. If I don’t at least like it, I won’t write about it—simple as that.
Over time, I’ve been lucky enough to connect with amazing authors who’ve trusted me with their books. That means the world to me. Talented women like Chelsea Camaron, Heather Huffman, Heather Thurmeier, Tracie Banister, and Samantha Bailey have become friends and continue to inspire me. Chelsea in particular is everything you’d hope to find in an author—genuine, graceful, and dedicated. Together, we’ve learned so much about the indie world and its incredible spirit.
Some of my all-time favorite series authors include Paulina Simons, Pamela Clare, Kristen Ashley, S.C. Stephens, and R.L. Mathewson. Indie authors, in particular, hold a special place in my heart. They pour their souls into their work and deeply value every bit of fan support. If you love something—tell them! I’ll never forget when Kendall Ryan (@kendallryan1) replied to my tweet—I nearly fainted! And authors like Colleen Hoover, Abbi Glines, and K.A. Linde? Pure talent. K.A. worked four years on her Avoiding series—how amazing is that?
If I had to choose a single favorite book, it would be Tully by Paulina Simons. That story moved me in a way I’ll never forget.
Now, I’m lucky to have discovered so many new authors who are absolutely fabulous and deserve to be celebrated. So, that’s what this blog is all about: sharing the books I love, lifting up the voices that deserve to be heard, and supporting the incredible world of authors—especially the indies who truly rock.
No matter your mood, there’s a great book to suit it. Words to live by!!
