Lucy Tate is on the run. After witnessing the brutal murder of her parents, she’s spent five years in hiding — taking on different personas and faking her way through life. Allie is going to have to choose between protecting her family and trusting her friends. But secrets have a way of ripping even the strongest relationships apart…

When Allie Sheridan gets arrested—again—her parents have had enough. They send Allie to the Cimmeria Academy far away from her London friends. The school is beautiful, and filled with gorgeous, ultra-wealthy teens who travel by private jet, were raised by nannies, and only shop on 5th Avenue or Bond Street.

As the school begins to seem like a very dangerous place, she must decide who she can trust if she’s going to find out what’s really going on.

About Jenny Hale

Jenny Hale

When she graduated college, one of Jenny’s friends said “Look out for this one; she’s going to be an author one day”. Despite being an avid reader and a natural storyteller, it wasn’t until that very moment that the idea of writing novels occurred to her.

Sometimes our friends can see the things that we can’t. Whilst she didn’t start straight away, that comment sowed a seed and several years, two children and hundreds of thousands of words later, Jenny finished her first novel.

Coming Home for Christmas went on to be a Kindle hit on both sides of the Atlantic – reaching the top 20 in the UK.

Love Me for Me is Jenny’s second novel and you can visit her at:

Chick Lit Reviews and News

‘OMG, there are just so, so many things I loved about this book. First, the characters! Guys, let me tell you, I’ve read so many books yet I can’t actually recall reading a book with so many loveable characters But what I loved the most is probably the fact this is not yet another romance story. Coming Home For
Christmas is a mesmerizing story about what really matters in life – family.

Elaine Spires is a diverse novelist as well as an award-winning playwright and actress.

Extensive travelling and a background in education and tourism perfected Elaine’s keen eye for the quirky characteristics of people, captivating the humorous observations she now affectionately shares with the readers of her novels.

She wrote her first book What’s Eating Me in 2010. It was originally a play, a one-woman show performed as a monologue with a child actor – Elena-Beth Carter playing Eileen as a child in the background and Elaine performed it on the London and Edinburgh fringes. She loved the character of loved Eileen so much that she decided to expand the story into a book.

Her second novel was Singles’ Holiday, set on her beloved Antigua… the Caribbean at its most luscious, its most beautiful… silver sand, cobalt sky, warm, turquoise sea… and a bunch of complete strangers who only have one thing in common: they’re single!

And her third novel Sweet Lady, again set in Antigua, will amaze you with a massive twist which goes to show that nothing is as it seems!

When Elaine is not writing her ideas into her next book or play, she enjoys going to the theatre, visiting the cinema, eating out with her friends and she also loves to read! Elaine spends her time between her homes in Hadleigh, Essex and Five Islands, Antigua (W.I.)

How We Lived by Erin Butler @ErinButler @EPEmbrace #review

About the Book
Title: How We Lived

This was a great book! The subject was not at all easy and believe me it got much deeper than what I thought. Not secret that Nineteen-year-old Kelsey Larkin has lost her brother who was her best friend. When you learn that he is dead and it was a car accident I felt so sad. It was not ending with the loss right there, things go so much deeper. The fact that her brother and next door neighbor were her ENTIRE life is the root of the entire story. What happens when she loses her brother starts an emotional book that I say is a must read!

What I loved was the lessons of love, family, therapy and forgiveness. I love when the author put Kelsey’s Mom on the front burner and threw her into a therapy chair for her issues. Just losing a child is bad enough but this affected her spouse, her daughter and her world. There was a time when her mother and father were so biter, not much changes but the author does embrace therapy. The way the therapy happens in here is critical. Kelsey’s Mom goes weekly and of course her Dad doesn’t and he thinks it is nonsense. So that being said she goes but in my opinion is never really present. She does have a breakthrough session that explains a lot.

Chase is next door and his story blows my mind. It goes beyond the “I fell in love with my best friend” sort of story. Kelsey has always loved Chase! Chase has the best Mom. She is so supportive. The reveals behind Chase and what his life means now were my favorite. The author does her best work creating his character. He did it for me. Some of my favorite scenes were the flashbacks that Chase had. I could see the three of them sneaking into each other’s houses. They both have very fond memories of growing up where Chase’s mom is the “fun mom”.

PLEASE read this book it was that good! The story of an accident that destroys families, friends and lives is right here.

I really liked this book! When it started with David being a cheater. Then he finds out that he has kids. I was blown away by the whole story. There is a whole family sort of dynamic brought on by the kids Evangeline and Xavier. It is like out of the blue David’s wife is torn but being a mother I could feel her pain. I mean these kids didnt do anything to deserve this and besides that David is the bad guy here.

As the plot unfolds you get to know David, his wife Amanda and their three kids. There are reveals thrown in about the kids and their step father. There is also a lot of witches, a dead lover and a big mess to clean up. So I totally enjoyed the plot it moved really fast.

It will keep you on the edge of your seat. As for the characters, I think the author did a wonderful job with them. Even though David was a cheater he stuck around so I disliked him and not hated him with a passion. It is a great story about good versus evil.

Author: Randi Black

Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance 18+

Publication Date: June 27, 2014

Cover Designer: Regina ~ Mae I Design

Synopsis

It was 1995 in the Southern California wasteland.

I was barely legal and far from innocent. I loved the Gun Club more than I loved Walter, my high school sweetheart. He was the only person who knew why I stopped singing and playing guitar after what happened to me when I was 16. But even an engagement ring couldn’t save us after what he did to me that one afternoon.

I used to worry that college would come between us, but I never thought it would happen on move-in day.

That was the day I met Franz : a tall, handsome 23-year-old ex-jock from Germany. He was so not my type, but the more I got to know him, the more I knew he was the right guy for me. And after Walter betrayed me for the last time, it was time for me to break up with him and be with Franz for good. I never thought he’d be a safe place for me to explore my darkest sexual fantasies. Nor that he’d be a kindred spirit who knew exactly what it felt like when someone ridiculed your musical aspirations.

We gonna start playing music together and be who were meant to be. Nothing and no one was gonna stop us.

Not even Walter.

Note: This is the standalone sequel to Miss World, which was self-published in 2011, and takes place a month later.
