With Everything I Am (The Three, #2) by Kristen Ashley

With Everything I Am (The Three, #2)

First I will say that I DO NOT like paranormal, vampires, wolves, or ghosts. Now how is it that Kristen Ashley can make me love these series? IDK but I loved the paranormal reincarnation series and this one rocks. This story is the second book in the series and it is a little hard to explain. Do yourself a favor if you love K.A. and her alpha’s go buy it!

I loved King Callum and Sonia  As usual the alpha is hotter than hot. Callum is Alpha Male and a Werewolf. He has known for years he is to be mated to the human Sonia. He has a few doubts but the attraction is so there. When Sonia was a child her parents were killed and soon after she finds a “puppy” that is a wolf in the woods near her parents home. The wolf was hurt and she took it back to her parents cabin and he died. Since then he comes to her in very real vivid dreams. Yeah you know what I mean!! She calls him her ‘puppy’.

Callum comes into her life in his human form and explains that she is to be his Queen. He never tells her that he is a wolf.  Bang zoom Sonia learns he and his family are werewolves. Lucien and Leah from Book 1 (goodreads link http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13453301-until-the-sun-falls-from-the-sky) show up too. Callum and Sonia have a lot of sex. Who doesn’t love Kristen’s sex scenes?

I liked all the other characters in these books and I hope there are more. I am so happy that Kristen Ashley Indie author is a master and made me love a wolf!!

Love Unlisted: A Novel by Stephanie Haddad

Love Unlisted: A Novel

This book made me laugh so hard. A list, a post it, and her Dad’s memory. Being so neurotic Loved this quote “I loved my Daddy more than anyone on earth. I write the lists so I can keep him with me.  Because I have to.”   Grace Shields keeps a list for everything. She must have stick in paper and pens LOL When it comes to guys she has a pro and con list. They are just so funny. I know lots of us think them, but Grace, well, she writes them. Two people know about her listing phenom skills, her best friend Bernadette “Bernsie” and her child psychologist who sort of made this into her hobby.” It can’t be too hard to meet a man who’s not a co-worker and has at least twenty solid Pros on his list, can it? Of course, he can’t smoke, drink, cheat on his taxes, be unemployed, have a defunct family life, listen to hip-hop music, snore, sweat profusely, or have unsavory habits, characteristics and/or afflictions. Like hairy moles. Or psoriasis. Beyond that, I’m not picky. “

Circumstances lead Grace’s brother George to have to move in with her. Once that happens it is only the listing that helps her to stay on the fence of a nervous breakdown.

Then here comes Colin a very sort of liberal musician who gets under her skin. Complete opposites that attract. Their story is adorable too!

I would say the author did a GREAT job on featuring a neurotic female. I wonder if she knows of this first hand?

Celebrating Debutantes 2012

Hey, everyone!

Today, I’m very excited and super glad to present to you my first ever blog event. Nope, this ain’t my blogoversary (it will be on May ;), but….

What is Celebrating Debutantes?

It is all about debut authors of this year who successfully debuted their books after all the hard work. Celebrating Debutantes spotlights the awesome authors behind these successful books.

I have sent same interview questions to the authors and let’s find out how each felt now that they are a published author. The best feelings, unforgettable moments, thoughts about their readers–us–and will share you the details about their upcoming project/s! Check out also their answers to some fun questions.

Learn more about your fave debut author of 2012, author you’re looking forward or meet her here the first time! I really enjoyed reading their answers. I hope you will, too.

Originally, I planned of debuting this event by December so it’d be like our countdown til the end of the year. But since there are a lot of amazing debut authors of this year gladly agreed to participate, I moved it in November. Apart from Celebrating Debutantes, I will be also participating one event called WinterHaven Sleigh Tour that is hosted by WinterHaven Books that’ll be held in December, so be sure to check it out as well.

What can you expect in CD?
Well, I interviewed more than 20 debut authors of 2012 and there will be lots of giveaways!

Are you ready?
This event will be annual! Every year, new amazing authors. And yes, you can recommend your fave debut author of 2013 anytime next year so I can add up on my list! As of now, I already have a list of willing to participate the event next year! How cool is that?

If you’re a follower of my blog via GFC, emai/RSS, Twitter and FB, you already have four (4) free entries on the upcoming giveaways! Plus another free entry for simply dropping by. So if you’re not yet a follower, you can follow now. You can also post the event button on your blog/site (if you’re a blogger) and earn another free entry by doing so (or if you just wanted to share it).

The Rented Husband by Tara Sampson

The Rented Husband

I loved this book. I tell ya it was a lot of fluff but so freakin cute! The idea that Olivia was one of 4 kids and her parents, being traditional, wanted her married, was adorable. They all had a hand in setting her up with someone. She had a brother and two sisters who constantly tried to get her to go out with friends and associates. The reason for her wanting a husband was to have a nice time at her sister’s wedding. At her law firm is a big player named Brody O’Connor. She picks him because she “knows” she wont fall for him. Of course he is hot, dates, and is an all over catch, but Olivia pretends ignore that. So she asks him to go to Hawaii and pretend for a week they are married. He thinks of it and by the time he gets back to his office his Mother shows up. Clarice is sweet and a great Mother who wants her son to marry and have children with a well bred Connecticut woman. That is when he high tails it to Olivia’s office and says yes he will do it.

There is a little mystery when Olivia gets a few calls and strange text messages. Overall I liked it and the ending was perfect for me. I guess other reviews complained about plot and grammar. I guess someone fixed it because there was no issue for me. I don’t know where the author is, I tried twitter and facebook  so I only have the Amazon link. http://www.amazon.com/The-Rented-Husband-ebook

I had to add my quotes:
Then, for the first time tonight she looked at him, really looked at him.  She studied his strong jaw line and the high cheek bones that were a trait of his Native American ancestry, took in the dark lashes that framed his eyes and the cleanly shaven face that was remarkably more handsome that she had ever considered before.

She had always thought he was cute but in more of a play-boyish way rather than the maturity that she was seemingly viewing for the first time now.  He was down right sexy and as quickly as that thought entered her mind, she pushed it back out.

She jogged down the steps and made her way to the kitchen, skidding to a halt when she saw him.  He stood at the stove, with a spatula in one hand, wearing nothing but SpongeBob boxers.
