Nauti And Wild (Nauti #6) by Lora Leigh, Jaci Burton

Nauti and Wild (Nauti Boys)

Great fast read. I am a huge Jaci Burton fan. I never hear of Lora Leigh. Now I check her out and gosh she has written a ton of other books. So I bought them.  Leigh’s story continues her Nauti series, which doesn’t have to be read in order. They are a series, but stand alone.

This is about John Calvin Walker Jr. is a member of an affluent Boston family. Aside from that he is a successful lawyer in his father’s law firm. John gets engaged to Marlena. Turns out they were not meant too be – spoiler – she is the daughter of a rumored mob family. They sizzled out about 6 months after the engagement. We find out John’s best friend Gerard is the reason. The girl who comes into the plat is sierra, and she is hot, but God daughter to John Sr. Marlena’s betrayal is revealed by Sierra Lucas

The **** hits the fan and John gets drunk. Sierra shows up feeling guilty. why would John be mad at her? She is confused, but she had to tell him. BIG things happen between them and Sierra leaves.

Fast forward a year … John has moved to Kentucky, and made his home. Then he gets a call from his father about Sierra. She is in the hospital recovering after an attempted rape. asking for John. John Walker Sr. is convinced rape and attack was premeditated. So John Sr tells Jr where to get Sierra.  John was disgusted and wanted his father to get to the assailant and get that evil person taken care of.

So much drama and suspense. These two are amazing together and the story is fluffy in spots and dramatic in others. So yeah it was great

Double Time (Sinners on Tour #5) by Olivia Cunning

Double Time: Sinners On Tour (The Sinners on Tour)

I have read the other Sinner’s books. This one incorporated the Exodus crew so I liked that. It seemed like they were all evolving and growing up a little. Brian is still a dream boat to me! As usual Trey was there and this was his story. The way that it started with Reagan was a great spin. Trying out for the band in a “blind” audition was very NOW.They sort of happened quick. Reagan’s background is brought up and how she was a barista who was living with her bff (who happens to be gay) Ethan. Later on you find out that they were together once before and he is not gay but bi sexual.

When Exodus picks her everything changes and she is catapulted to stardom. Most of her story was different than the others career wise. She was only playing for three years and did not have any stage experience. Her road is a little tough being throw into something as big as this so fast. Their manager had a lot of conniving to do to get her to agree to a makeover. Within a few hours not only is she told you are “in” but for practice you are going with Trey (who she wants ooey gooey bad) to tour with the Sinners for two weeks before Exodus starts.

At this point Trey decides no more men. Then shockingly he decides Reagan is his girlfriend and announces it to everyone. This seems out of character for Trey. Trey loves his fellow band mate, Brian Sinclair. He has an experience ten years before with Brian and he has never gotten over it. Seems like everyone knows but nobody really says it out loud ever. When Brian and Myrna celebrate the birth of their child, Trey is there and agrees to be Godfather. Trey realizes that it’s never going to happen with Brian. Can’t go on for spoilers.

Whether you are heterosexual, gay or bi you need to wait at least more than an hour to want to sleep with someone. Wait scratch that! think it all you want, but wait. The entire build up with Ethan thinking Trey is hot was non existent to me. I think Trey is given a pass on being an asshole but Ethan? Well he should have to lick smelly monkey balls for cheating on Reagan first of all. Then for coming on to Trey, well he should have to go blow a monkey. I thought that was low. There has to be some little thing about a room mate and best friend that is sacred.

What I did not like: It was the story of the stalker . It was on the back burner and then it pops up front and center and it was sort of a non event. I love sex, ok I think the other stories were just great. This one was too much m/m for me. There were a lot of m/m scenes that were really explicit. I do think Reagan was and could have been that ONE.

But, I really loved Trey Mills because he was such a nice and ooey gooey sweet character. I am teetering between really liked it and liked it. I do want cherry lube though. I will definitely read the other books.

Posted: 15 Nov 2012 07:00 PM PST

Welcome to the Feature & Follow

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers — but you have to know — the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (ParajunkeeAlison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed.

Make Me Yours by Kendall Ryan

Make Me Yours (Unravel me #2)
At the beginning of the book I was not sure if it was a sequel or sort of a spin off. Well it was a sequel. Aiden and Ashlyn from Unravel Me came back. Liz had some fears and reasons for not wanting to get involved with anyone. When she sees a cute guy at the park, she picks up the football and tosses it back and he does NOTHING! She is annoyed. She leaves her friends ad walks back home. As she approaches her house guess who is behind her? Hottie from the park. They talk and she finds out that he is the upstairs new tenant in the town home she lives in. Cohen is the typical boy-next-door, college student, EMT and all around hottie. Intrigued? YES but he lives upstairs. It doesn’t deter Liz long. They start to hang out ad form a relationship.

Cohen drops THE bomb on Liz when they are just beginning to get physical. More and more they are curled up in Cohen’s bed. Cohen grew up taking care of his Mom who had gotten pregnant and had him young. He also has an 8 year old sister that he takes a lot of responsibility for. He totally learned from his mothers mistakes! Where Liz stays away from Men because of the issues she dealt with when her parents divorced. They had a knock down drag out emotional killing break up. All of this affected her and guided her choices. They both discover through not speaking that they are right for each other.

It has a lot of ups and downs that are life altering for the character of Liz. Along with the drama and the steamy scenes that were hotter than hot, there is a ton of comedy. One scene that was hysterical was when Liz sees a bat flying in her apartment. She thinks it came from the chimney. So she goes to upstairs hottie neighbor and he grabs a tennis racket and oven mitts. OK enough said I think I almost wet my pants!

When Cohen and Liz go along with Ashlyn and Aiden to a cabin for a getaway, Liz listens when disapproving Ash is telling her to keep her relations with Cohen more friendly. There is one scene where they are hanging in the hot tub and Ashlyn leaves. When her and Aiden are hot and heavy they had the window opened. So right below the window in the hot tub is Cohen along with Liz. The noises and what happens is SO funny you will laugh out loud!

Make Me Yours is sold on Amazon as a conclusion to Unravel Me. I DO NOT want this to end. It can’t end, I see a few people we can add into the story and I just love Liz and Ashlyn so much.

Rating 5 BIG steamy LMAO stars!

My fave quotes:

– Highlight Loc. 381-84

Cohen suddenly dropped his fork against the side of his plate, the clinking sound startling me. “Are there nuts in this?” I looked from the pasta to the panicked expression on his face. “Um, yes, there are pine nuts in the sauce. Why, what’s wrong?” He leapt from his seat, his napkin fluttering to the floor. “I’m allergic. Where’s the bathroom?”

“You’re warm. Are you feeling okay?” His eyes met mine, narrowing with confusion and worry. No I’m not okay, I’m horny as hell and you’re driving me crazy! “Fine, why?” He shook his head, like he was clearing a thought. “Okay. I’ll just get you some water.” He stood from the bed and crossed the room. I don’t want any damn water, I want some cock! I fell back onto the pillow with a huff.

“Cohen?” I placed my palm flat on his stomach. “Tell me.” “I’m waiting for the girl I love.” “Waiting?” “Waiting,” he said firmly. Oh, fuck. Waiting! I felt like the breath was knocked out of my lungs. A virgin?

– Highlight Loc. 546-47

Was there something wrong with him I was unaware of? Deformed? Small package? Oh, please don’t let him have a small package.

– Highlight Loc. 837-40

Aiden set their bags on the large bed. Then we toured the upstairs, which was an open loft containing the twin bunk beds for Cohen and I. Cohen turned to me and smiled “Top or bottom?” I entertained myself for a moment with inappropriate images of riding Cohen like a bucking bronco, alternating with images of him hovering over top of me, and gripping his shoulders while he thrust deep inside of me.

– Highlight Loc. 965-67

“What do you want?” I whispered, looking up at him. He brought his hand to my jaw and rubbed a slow circle along my skin. “Touch me.”

– Highlight Loc. 982-84

I felt his hands tugging at the strings of my bikini top, and I almost laughed, surprised it had taken him this long to go for them. Once the top was untied, it fell free to the floor and I stood before him, pushing my naked chest out for his appraisal.

– Highlight Loc. 985-86

God, I wanted this man. I wanted him to make me his.

– Highlight Loc. 987-89

I wanted more, so much more, but if this was all I could have, I would take it, eagerly. He continued nibbling and sucking on my breasts while my oil-slicked palm slid up and down between us.

Highlight Loc. 1010-11

God, it felt amazing. This boy might not have had sex before, but he clearly had practiced some other things.

– Highlight Loc. 1026-28

I couldn’t help but notice the light scent of coconut oil was still on my skin and I smiled a sleepy grin. I knew I’d never look at that bottle of tanning oil the same way again. I

– Highlight Loc. 1033-35

I inspected myself in the mirror as I brushed my teeth. My hair was a hot mess. The steam from the hot tub last night had curled the strands around my face, and it looked like an entire family of rodents had taken up permanent residency somewhere around the back and sides.

– Highlight Loc. 1692-94

If he really felt something for me—he’d have to prove it. It might be deceitful to test him this way—to see how far he was willing to go—but I needed this. I need him to show me I was worth risking everything for. To put his money where his mouth was and make me his.

– Highlight Loc. 1799-1801

I had no idea how long he would last, since I hadn’t had sex with a virgin since I was a teenager—and of that experience I remembered exactly two things: the excruciating pain, like I was being penetrated with a knife, and that Tyler Simonson had lasted exactly forty-nine seconds

– Highlight Loc. 1829-31

No words needed to be said, it was obvious what he was telling me. In every touch, every kiss, I knew exactly what he was saying, but the full reality hit me when we finished, and he folded me into his arms and held me tightly against him. That scared me more than his willingness to give me his virginity.

– Highlight Loc. 1847-48

He chuckled, and took a swig of his own beer. “What the fuck were those, by the way? Micro-mini condoms?” he teased.

Out of the Shadow by J.S. Winn

Out of the Shadow

This book was such a page turner! I loved the thrilling aspect as well as the psychological part. There were three different point of views so it kept me on my toes. Any reader interested in suspense and mystery will LOVE it. The main character Becca Rosen, who survives a rape and loses her husband pretty much in the beginning. You will guess like I did about her innocence or guilt. Then you will find the therapist who is also kind of narrating through a seminar she is giving about trauma survival .

While Becca is stalked by a psychopath, she discovers she has a lot of fight in her. There is a lot of memory and flashbacks that all add up to a huge amount of deceit. A lot of plot turns and reveals. When you start to see the reveals you are kept at the edge of your seat waiting to see who the killer of Becca’s husband is and who is her attacker.

Seriously was a great book!! I was a little scared f the “psycho’s” entries and voice.

The Proposition by Katie Ashley guest Review

Haley’s  review

Nov 09, 12

5 of 5 stars false
Read from November 07 to 08, 2012

Awesome book! Ended on a cliff hanger and now I have to wait forever for the next one. Aiden has some major commitment issues, but he better get his act together!

I Love Aiden and Emma together, but not sure how they will work out their issues. I wish I would have waited to read it, so the wait for “The Proposal” would not be so long!

These two have an undenialable chemistry, but Aiden is a total player. You all know I have a soft spot for the bad boys, but this guy can be a total jerk. Even though he makes some bad choices, I am rooting for him to change for Emma. Emma gets in over her head with Aiden, but you don’t hear her complaining.

Come Away With Me (With Me In Seattle #1) by Kristen Proby

Come Away With Me (With Me In Seattle, #1)

I love to write a review about a fluffy fluff. This book was a naughty fluffy fluff and probably the best in the category I have read. I was reading it for the BOFF at Totally Booked (http://totallybookedblog.com/2012/11/08/the-next-boff-bookclub-read-starts-5pm-friday-9th-november-in-your-local-timezone-wed-love-you-to-join-us/) So I go to buy it and this is the warning: *Warning: Contains profanity, explicit sex, and a super sexy couple! When you see that what is a girl to do but buy the book and pray the family will leave me alone to read. I got my wish! I don’t like when I read through something fast. I can imagine it takes a long time to write a novel like this and then I devour it in a day, but it was fluffy and juicy and I couldn’t resist!

When the book started we met photographer Natalie Conner and her roommate Jules. It is sad when we learn a little about her past and she has had loss and a tragedy that made her strong but guarded. She had relationships but never really dated. When she meets Luke Williams the scene is so funny. She doesn’t know him and thinks he is mugging her for her camera. She avoids seeing him and eventually gives up and they go for a drink. Who wouldn’t go drink a margarita with no salt and extra lime with a man like Luke? So 3 hours later she is in full swoon mode, even though he avoids her questioning what he does for a living. The relationship progressing is so romantic and yes girls there is full smut! Some naughty smut and some romantic. I take it in equal doses and devour the book.

When Natalie meets his family they are all welcoming except for his sister Sam. What a snotty bitch! Natalie takes care of her and that is when his Mother knew that they were in love.

So there are a few reveals that explain Natalie and her past. Luke has a big reveal that explains the whole mugging and a few smaller ones that explain his guarded sister. Overall a fantastic read.
