Piper Anderson has been given a fresh start in the picturesque town of Edenville, North Carolina. But her plans of settling into a normal life are derailed when she witnesses a prominent judge in her community committing a violent assault. Running from her own past and fueled by a passion to make the judge answer for his crimes, Piper is forced to decide if she’ll play by the rules or achieve justice in her own way.
Complicating things further, Piper finds herself fighting a powerful attraction to rookie cop, Bobby Wright. Although she’s increasingly enamored with Bobby, his staunch belief in the justice system is in stark contrast to her own. She may not share his opinions about the effectiveness of the law, but she certainly can’t deny how safe she feels when she’s in his arms or how every kiss leaves her desperate for more.
For Piper, the idea of finally living an ordinary life with a man to love is tempting. However, fate keeps placing the judge, quite literally, in her path. Will she decide the only way to win is to be as wicked as the judge, but with righteous intentions? And more importantly, will Bobby choose to let her go, or follow her as she crosses the line and takes justice into her own hands?

Meet Roberta Goodman
I was just going about my usual twiiterific day and met Roberta. She is the most blogger friendly author I know. We had a few back and forth tweets and I always try to re-tweet for followers and there she was. She tweeted that people should really consider following me. I was doing a little dance!

Then as usual I went on to re tweet a bunch of her tweets. Well guess what? She did this “consider following” to other bloggers and other authors. What love is that. So I was sneaky and tried to say:

Nope she kept tweeting and then I says how about your visit my blog. Ha so I do get the last word nah nah I win! Now I hope to repay all she does and show her some BIG blogger love. I can do big!

Roberta Goodman grew up in Philadelphia. As a stay-at-home Mom of two children, she discovered her creativity could be expressed through the written word when she embarked on writing her first manuscript. In addition to freelance writing, she has written a total of three manuscripts in two and a half years. Snow Escape is her first published novel. Roberta and her family reside in a small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
The search for contentment has been a very long journey I’ve taken for most of my life. Sometimes I feel like giving up my dreams, but then I remember they make me who I am and I can never give up.
All of my perseverance seems to be paying off. My debut novel is available in e-Book format and paperback and I couldn’t be happier if I tried. Writing is the only thing I do really well and now that I’ve been given a chance to get my work out there, I want to take full advantage of it. Gaining acceptance on a large scale is not an easy thing to do, but I’m hoping I’m able to accomplish this goal and entertain readers at the same time.

Review
After reading and enjoying all of her other books, I am a huge fan of Bethany Lopez. I love her style of writing. The fact that her books are steamy but never ever over the top is perfect. The characters in this one were real and they are a reminder to pay tribute to every single mother you know. Sam was so focused and on track after her first year of going overboard at college. Then bam she gets pregnant. There was never a debate for her, she was going to be a mom and nothing else mattered. Several time the author makes reference to the support system. Her parent were happy and supportive. Never once making her doubt her choice, even though I think there was one, being a Mom.
So being careful to shield her daughter and herself she struggled to be perfect. She never let anything stand in her way. I admired the way she was written with strength and conviction.
I loved her daughter Karrie and the baby talk dialogue. Also her neighbor and best friend Molly and her husband Thomas were the ultimate friends. They went totally overboard for Sam whenever she needed them, they were there. Then of course Judd. Who couldn’t love him? He took such good care of his father and when confronted with a serious issue, he stepped up to another plate and handled things. He was a baseball player, but caution he was not the typical kind. He played it and liked it, but it didn’t rule his life. The message was there for Judd and his character to enjoy the sport and not let it consume him.
Then of course there was a BIG HUGE TREMENDOUS reveal. Holy …. it was great!! I never saw it coming.
There is a romance and a message about support and family that makes this a must read. As always I am a fan and this was too short. I guess I read through it super fast again.

Bethany Lopez began self-publishing in June 2011. Since then she has published various YA and NA books. She is a lover of romance, family, and friends, and enjoys incorporating those things in what she writes. When she isn’t reading or writing, she loves spending time with her husband and children, traveling whenever possible.

New Adult Contemporary
After a year of partying, Sam decides to buckle down and focus on college. Things are going great until a one-night stand leaves her pregnant and alone. Raising a child while going to school isn’t easy, but Sam is determined to be strong for her daughter. She doesn’t have time for guys or relationships, and takes great care to protect her child and her heart.
Judd doesn’t fit the mold of a college ballplayer. His long hair and tattoos may fit the life he’s created for himself, but baseball is the one thing he takes seriously. When he meets Sam, he’s immediately drawn to her curves and refusal to put up with his crap. When Judd learns the truth, can he handle the responsibility that comes with loving a single mother?
Sam yearns for the fire that Judd fuels in her, but her child’s needs have to come first. Can two people at different stages in their life find a way to make a life together?

Book Review:
Jennifer Whitney was the last American virgin. NO she wasn’t but, she did feel like it. From college on she will go by “Jen” don’t say Jenny, she will correct it. I will give you a few reasons why I really liked this book. The first is Jen and her college days were fondly remembered by musical references. That was a part that I hope someone relates to. I also loved her and the room mates. They all contributed something to Jen’s experience. The other thing I found adorable and totally relating to college, was how different room mates can be, but even though they were different, they complimented each other.
The main story was centering around Jen and her quest. I know you can understand Jen’s dilemma, lost her innocence without being a skank. So there you have it. There are many bible references in the book. One I found so interesting was to find your psalm by using your birthday. I looked mine up and I am Isaiah 5:28 “Their arrows are sharp, all their bows are strung; their horses’ hooves seem like flint, their chariot wheels like a whirlwind.” So Jen decides that she needs to lose her virginity to someone she likes, but not someone who she marries. She decided this and goes about making a plan and obviously choosing David. He is one of the three David’s Each is just as equally likeable (maybe if only for the author and her portraying him). So Big D; I could laugh at, but Jen was a trooper and followed through on her promise.
Overall it was cute, loaded with angst and hot! I loved the original David (David) not so much Big D and definitely not Dave. This is the only books that made me happy, sad, loved and wanting to scream. Jen had several losers and even though the book was telling of her hut, it was fumy.
The book has a few life lessons that I felt were useful. Read it NOW and be prepared to yell at Jen a lot just like I did. At times I sat there thinking “how dumb is she” but she pursued he goals with such zest, I could totally hang out with Jen.
About the Author

Writing wasn’t something Nicki set out to do; it just sort of happened when she realized writing reports was by far her favorite part of her investment consulting position. She traded stock allocation and diversification for story arcs and dialogue and now weaves her creative writing time in with the other activities of her busy life with her family in the Chicago suburbs.
Nicki writes with two goals in mind: #1 to keep the characters realistic, even when their circumstances are anything but, and #2 to make the reader feel. Her published works include Three Daves, a light-hearted romantic romp through a 1980s college campus, Divine Temptation, a romantic novel of angelic proportions, and short stories “Sway” (available as a single), “I Don’t Do Valentine’s Day” (part of A Valentine Anthology), and “Impressionism 101” (included in the debut issue of Insatiable: The Magazine of Paranormal Desire).
