There isn’t anything exciting about me, besides having a uniquely spelled name….

Yes, it’s spelled Gabbie.

I’m a mom first, a wife second, and then a crazy girl who won’t hesitate to take on a challenge. That’s how I found my passion for writing. My daughter challenged me to write a book, and I did.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I live with my wonderful husband, two amazing kids and a senior citizen kitty named Tigger. When I’m not writing you can find me reading or sneaking off for a run. Some might say it’s a crazy life, but I wouldn’t change anything about it.

Title: 21 Days

Series: Time for Love #2

Author: Bethany Lopez

Sasha and TJ are no strangers to enjoying sex with no strings attached, so when they decide to act on their mutual attraction, there should be no reason why they can’t apply that same philosophy to each other.

Money has never been an issue for Sasha, which made proving herself as a real estate dynamo a personal challenge she was determined to conquer. Raised in a gilded world masking neglect and disappointment, she learned not to depend on anyone, especially when it comes to love and relationships. Men are great for companionship, but she isn’t looking for anything serious.

Used to going without, TJ has worked hard to be able to support himself. When he loses his job and his home in one fell swoop, he faces relying on others for the first time in his adult life. Then Sasha steps in, offering him a place to stay until he’s back on his feet. He grudgingly agrees, but vows to be out of her guest room within 21 days.

They’ll discover that a lot can change in 21 days, especially when they decide to give the idea of “friends with benefits” a try. As each day passes, Sasha and TJ become closer than they’ve ever been. Will they be able to go back to being just friends when their days together are up, or will they allow their personal hang-ups to get in the way of what they really cherish most?

Girl on beach (1)

ExcerptThen the lights went out and the room was thrown into total darkness. Shit!

I heard the breath shuttle from my lungs and tried to draw it back in. Instead, the soft rasping sound was consumed by the heavy darkness. A muffled sound caused my body to stiffen. I frowned, but hardly had time to dwell on it because the door opened and a large silhouette filled the doorway. My heart slammed against my ribs, thudding fast with pure adrenaline. The door closed suddenly and the room was again shrouded in darkness. Oh, God… What the fuck was I doing? Had I lost my mind?

Deafening silence poured into the dark room as the figure stood eerily still.

“Is the darkness okay for you?” The voice was a purr that rolled over my skin, peppering it with goose bumps.

My tongue was glued to the roof of my mouth. I nodded and didn’t know how he knew, but I heard his steps draw closer. A palm traced slowly down my cheek, and because I hadn’t expected it, I jumped back, startled. I swallowed hard, my breath now panting through my parted lips.

“Relax, beautiful…” That voice again. A gravelly disembodied whisper. The sound made my nipples stretch.

I tried to imagine what he might look like, then scolded myself because not knowing had been my specific stipulation. I knew he was big. That I could tell by the large contortions in the shadows.

“Lean back.”

I obeyed the hypnotic voice and shifted my shoulders. A long moment passed where all that could be heard was our mingled breathing, feathery music that filled the dense space with anticipation. I knew he couldn’t possibly see me through the thick darkness, but I could feel the heat of his eyes searching, probing, and gliding over my body like a caress. I squeezed my eyes shut, feeling absurdly exposed.

“I want to kiss you,” he whispered, then brought his lips to mine. I thought I would dissolve into a puddle of lust when his supple lips crushed down on mine. That skillful tongue swept into my mouth, playful at first, then delved deep for a smooth tango. He tasted wonderful. Rich. Masculine. Decadent.

The shadow folded low and his fingers found the soft flesh on the inside of my thighs, persuading them apart with the slightest pressure.

I started to hyperventilate, my breath panting from my lips. I was suddenly frightened, rattled by these overwhelming sensations and the intensity of my sexual need. Liquid seeped from my body to coat the inside of my thighs and I could smell the potent fragrance. My body stiffened.

“Relax, beautiful,” he whispered. Soft lips pressed against my thigh, planting tender kisses. “I’ll give you what you need.”

The power of his whispered voice was all consuming. It was warm caramel pouring over my heated body, and I reacted instinctively to its honeyed sweetness. I melted back onto the bed in one languid stretch. I felt him press his face to my pussy, heard him inhale deeply, and then he groaned lustily. That tongue, that instrument of superlative talent plunged through my folds and invaded me with a voracious kiss. I gasped as white-hot pleasure blasted my body, a full blown assault on my senses. He maneuvered the very tip just over my clit, then vibrated it with perfect pressure that had me clawing at the sheets and arching my back high. Pleasure knifed through my pussy, gloriously sharp as he drew tight figure eights with his tongue over the bulb of straining flesh.

Oh. My. Gaaaawwuuud.” That husky, guttural cry could not have come from me, I was sure, but he did it again and I groaned, long and hard like a woman possessed by demons. He was making long fluid swipes now, dragging his tongue from bottom to top, insinuating it into and between my folds.

My nails dug into his scalp as I fisted the short waves of his hair. I bucked my hips hard against his face, uncaring now about the inarticulate sounds coming from my throat. The pleasure was unbelievable, the heat of his mouth and the glide of his tongue. I slipped into a passionate euphoria that quickly enveloped my body.

“You taste so fucking good,” the voice whispered passionately. “I want to eat you up.”

He latched onto my flesh and sucked, then lapped his tongue furiously against my swollen flesh. Pleasure burst inside me, brilliant white stars zooming across an infinite black sky. I bit my lip as fire licked through my sex and burned a searing path up each knuckle of my spine. I arched my back and shouted into the darkness, my body jerking and seizing hard with a powerful climax. I collapsed back onto the bed, the breath dragging from my lungs like I’d just run a marathon. My limbs quaked, determined not to follow commands as I tried to steady them.

“I…I…God, this is…is…” What did I want to say? Why wasn’t my tongue working? Why did I want to crawl inside this man and never leave?

The urge to write first struck when working on a newsletter at a youth encampment in the woods of northern Maine. It may have been the night when lightning flashed at sunset followed by northern lights rippling after dark. Or maybe it was the newsletter’s editor, a girl with eyes the color of the ocean. But he was inspired to write about the blurry line between reality and the fantastic.

Using two fingers and lots of white-out, he religiously typed five pages a day throughout college and well into his twenties. Then life intervened. He paused to raise two sons and pursue a career, in the process becoming a well-known entrepreneur in the software industry, founding several successful companies. When he found time again to daydream, the urge to write returned. His novels include: There Comes a ProphetAlong the Watchtower, and the newly released The Daughter of the Sea and the Sky.

David and his wife split their time between Cape Cod, Florida and anywhere else that catches their fancy. He no longer limits himself to five pages a day and is thankful every keystroke for the invention of the word processor.

Finding Harmony (Katie and Annalise #3) by Pamela Fagan Hutchins @pameloth #review

Finding Harmony (Katie & Annalise #3)

I loved book 1 and 2. This is the third and final installment for all the cozy mystery fans out there. I liked Katie as the high powered bloody mary drinking lawyer, and I cant tell you how she has grown in this book. The characters on St Marcos are priceless. Having met the voice of St Marcos in person I can picture him speaking and he is awesome by the way. The voice is actually panty melting. I say that here, but I was just staring at him in person. He is a Caribbean dream for sure!
0811131916
So back to the island. Katie is on alert as usual. She seems nervous about this dead guy showing up at Annalise, but the author has mellowed Katie just a bit in the beginning of this book. She doesnt over think as much as she used to.
This one doesnt disappoint. So if you have not read the first 2 books, then please do it NOW. Nick is just such a character and he really compliments Katie. So this plot is starting out with some shady locals. I just adore the descriptive scenes in here! All hell breaks lose when Nick doesn’t show up after work. There is trouble with the estate and some say that is is a burial ground.  Even when you will be thinking this is creepy, there is a lightness that makes the plot so much more enjoyable. “All the dead men and women dem buried under this house” Holy shit run away and hide right? NOT Katie.
run!
I have to say the opening scene with them looking for a pig is hysterical. The way they catch the big pig is a combo of Lucy and Ethel and maybe Abbott and Costello thrown in there too. Katie knows looking at Nick the pig did have the upper hand! All the while she is thinking about his white polo shirt.
Back is Collin and there is a Tamara. (He met her in Texas) When he admits he is going to get married Katie freakin out goes old school and twists his earlobe. I love her! I loved every aspect of the writing style from the suspense, the humor to the mystery. The story is great, the writing is great, so I say read it now!

First Position by Prescott Lane @prescottlane1 #review

The name of the book comes obviously from dance. This is NOT a book about dance, but a book about a dancer. Emory uses dance to relax and whenever she gets troubled she dances, saying out loud “First position, breathe” it calms her, lets her think, and is an escape.
yelp yelp In the end I am a little bit torn and for the sake of the plot I cant even tell you why. ggrrr I like Emory and her BFF room mate Wesley. The author creates two very likable pals who are there for each other with an unbreakable bond. So the story is like this: Emory and Mason break up, he marries her nemesis, well I hate Alexis as I am sure most will. Mason is recovering from an injury and runs into Emory for the first time since he left 6 years prior.  He has become a pro football player and is currently healing and searching for a new contract.
The author creates a love story for these two. Sadly there are secrets, family’s hurt by divorce, and hope. I think it would have been epic had some edits been made. I wanted this black cloud to be explored and weighed against the other person’s secrets. Sounds confusing, sorry! I will put it this way two people have secrets and one has a big one and the other has a few little ones. So I wanted to know more about the feeling surrounding the secrets.
The author also creates Steven and Olivia who are Mason’s brother and pregnant sister in-law too. He is a lawyer and he is negotiating everything for Mason. I feel bad for him having the burden of his brothers contracts and injury lay at his feet. There are a lot of light comedy moments about pregnancy that I find endearing. Katherine who is the mother in-law from hell makes a few appearances. Gosh I hated her too.
I will add it was a little confusing at times and things were said for example: blank-for sake of the plot- peeps her head out of the bathroom and asks for a pair of panties ???  Who does that? It seemed to me there were a few things that were misplaced.  I think in my opinion things were added to appeal to more people.
Lastly I like the no sex thing the author adds. I agree that Mason is married and until he is not there shouldn’t be sex but it was a little scattered for me in this subject matter. I think if you make a choice to wait then you don’t prance naked in front of a man. Not that that happened here I am just saying. Overall a good book with some good base characters

Perfectly Broken by Prescott Lane @prescottlane1 #spsotlight

synopsis Image4

Even after years of trauma therapy, Peyton still believes she’s broken. She has little desire to date or show off her natural beauty, content simply to hang out with her best friends and run her pie shop in New Orleans. But her world turns upside-down when a handsome architect and self-confessed player shows up in her shop and thinks she’s perfect, much more than the usual hook-up. While Peyton does her best to resist his charms, believing she could never be enough for him, she can’t deny the obvious heat between them. With Reed determined to have her, Peyton must decide whether to continue to hide behind her apron and baggy clothes or take a chance and share her scars with Reed, a man with a playboy reputation and scars of his own — a dark past he can’t possibly share with Peyton, not after learning the horrors she’s endured. But if they can find a way to trust each other, and themselves, they just might be able to heal, to save each other, to live perfectly broken together.
