HOLD ME TIGHT Synopsis:

He loves me. He loves me not.

Ivy’s heart shatters upon hearing Eric’s crushing ultimatum. Despite how much she cares for him, she won’t give in to his demands. She has no choice but to leave, even if it’s the hardest thing she’s ever had to do.

She loves me. She loves me not.

When Ivy walks out, Eric can’t help feeling betrayed. Unwilling to put her at risk, he values her safety above all else. By refusing to compromise, he’s blindsided when she moves in with a man who’s already stolen so much from him.

I love you. You love me not.

Lauren sees Eric and Ivy’s split as an opportunity to end their relationship once and for all. When Ivy places herself at the mercy of Eric’s rival, Lauren plots to destroy the fragile tie binding them together, even if she endangers Ivy’s life in the process.

Excerpt:

But there’s something I have to do before this goes any further.

Slowly, I draw my head away from her embrace, finding the courage to finally meet her eyes. Her hair hasn’t been combed and her face is all tear-stained, but she has never looked more beautiful.

She stands, bracing herself against me. Her breath hitches when I gently start unbuttoning her shirt, but her eyes never leave my face. I stop partway up, raising the bottom half of her cami up and over her baby bump. Dropping down, I run my hands across her stomach, feeling her shiver against my fingertips. Looking up at her, I place my lips on her bellybutton, kissing the child that’s growing within her, the miracle we created.

“I will never ask you to choose again,” I say solemnly, my voice nothing but a whisper.

Ivy starts to cry in earnest, placing her hands atop mine.

“You are my heart now. Whatever happens to you happens to me.” I kiss each one of her knuckles as she sighs deeply, like she’s been longing with all her soul to hear me say these words. “I know I’m not as brave as you are, but I promise to try harder.”

“Eric, stop. You’re the bravest man I know,” she proclaims with a tender fierceness, tears shining in her eyes.

“I’m just so afraid of losing you,” I mutter, breaking down.

“Oh, Eric,” she whimpers, sobbing right along with me. “I know, baby… I know.”

I lean back against the wall, guiding her onto my lap. We don’t say anything more. We just sit there and hold each other, savoring the moment.

Then mysterious raiders strike Andaryon villages. Attempts are made on the life of Albia’s High King. As Sullyan scrambles to find those responsible, unseen enemies threaten to pull apart everything she has worked for, including her marriage.

Review Quotes:
“Cas Peace has a most beguiling method of pulling you into this very well thought out world she has created. You simply fall in love with her characters, and then you cannot put the book down.” -P C Dodge, Amazon Reviewer.
“If you enjoy being whisked away to the realm of fantasy, I strongly suggest this unique, special read! Hands down, one of the best fantasy series I have ever read!” -Ashley L. Knight, author of FALWYN
“I have just loved this entire series. Cas Peace is a master storyteller, providing a depth and breadth of information about her worlds and their people that is just staggering. Her characters are complex and multi-dimensional, and I have very much enjoyed reading this series. I am also looking forward with great anticipation to her next novel in this series. I heartily recommend this series to anyone who enjoys epic fantasy, strong world-building and beautiful storytelling. Highly recommended!” -K. Sozaeva, Amazon Vine Voice and Top 1000 Reviewer.
Cas Peace’s Artesans of Albiatrilogy immediately sweeps you away:  the drama starts with King’s Envoy, continues unabated in King’s Champion, and climaxes in King’s Artesan, yet each volume is complete, satisfying.  The Artesan series propels you into a world so deftly written that you see, feel, touch, and even smell each twist and turn. These nesting novels are evocative, hauntingly real.  Smart.  Powerful.  Compelling.  The trilogy teems with finely drawn characters, heroes and villains and societies worth knowing; with stories so organic and yet iconic you know you’ve found another home—in Albia.
Now there’s a fourth book on Albia’s horizon:  The Challenge, also Book One in Peace’s forthcoming sub-series, the Circle of Conspiracytrilogy, proof of more Albian tales on the way.  So start reading now.  I, for one, can’t wait to find out what will happen next. -Janet Morris: The Sacred Band of Stepsons; the Dream Dancerseries; I, the Sun; Outpassage

Cas Peace was born in Hampshire UK, in 1957, and has lived there most of her life. Her first career was as a horse-riding instructor, and horses remain very close to her heart. She then spent 13 years working for the British Civil Service before leaving the UK to live in Italy for three years, 1991-1994. She speaks passable but by no means perfect Italian, and loves to return to Italy whenever she can.

Cas’s other great loves are anything to do with animals, especially dogs and horses, (she supports many animal charities) and also singing.

Cas loves folk songs and along with her husband, who plays guitar, has performed in many a Southern England folk club. Sometimes they even asked her back! She writes folk songs to accompany her fantasy novels, and offers them as free downloads from her website.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Everyone has to begin somewhere. I began my journey to becoming an author long before I published anything. Storytelling was something I did every night before bed with my father. We would create such wonderful tales together, far better than anything in books. It sprung from our imaginations. My mother ingrained a love for the written world early on. Then my grandpa gave me his first type writer when I was in elementary school. You can guess the rest.

But it was many years later, after dabbling in all the arts, that I realized writing was my greatest passion. I grew up on the far outskirts of the Metroplex of Texas, a busy world of cities within cities. It’s easy to get lost in a place like this. Some might argue that Dallas is the “New York” of the south and I might agree. Rather than worry about being a little fish in a big pond, however, I made up my mind long ago to follow my dreams. The funny thing about dreams is they have a tendency to come to life in unexpected ways.

My best friends were my twin next door neighbors. (Inspiration for the three main ladies in Silver Hollow) We made up our own little book club, complete with readings and brainstorming sessions. I loved reading to them and they loved “the story,” as we dubbed whatever project we were working on. As we grew up and went on to different careers and schools, and I tried three different universities. Needless to say, college didn’t pan out well for me. So I did the next sensible thing and decided to write “for real.”

By day I am personal assistant and simple childcare worker at the local Learning Center for preschoolers. But by night, I moonlight as an independently published author of Young/New Adult and fantasy novels. My hope is that you enjoy my books and are encouraged to follow your dreams as well.

˃˃˃ Interview

If you could describe your book in three words, what would they be?

Recently, someone sent me a message and I like theirs, but it was only two words (holy sh*t) and I really LOVED that one… so let me just say…

Unescapably Exhilarating Terror

Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life? I pull from everything around me and add a lot of imagination. A few things are loosely from my own past, but mostly they are ‘what if’ scenarios or sometimes ways that I wish things had been, rather than the way they are. I know that is going to sound confusing, because so many parts of my story are pitch black dark, but there is some sunshine here and there, too.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp? Oh yes, and I love when people pick up on it and talk about how strong my heroine is. She is most definitely a survivor and that is thing I want to promote most through my work – we only get one shot at this thing called life, so we have to make the best of it, no matter how crappy some parts can be. Don’t let those things weigh you down… take a deep breath and walk towards the light.

Tell me a little more about your book.

Well, this one is more than a book. It is a series, basically because it was too long to fit into a single novel. It traces the life of a young woman where she has been found, flashes back to get a glimpse of her horrific past, and carries forward along her path to redemption.

Along the way, there will be many ups and downs, secrets to learn, mysteries to unravel, and discoveries to be made. Some of them will be happy, some sad, and some shocking. It will be anything but boring. Keep in mind, my story has lots of layers, twists and turns, and I truly believe no two people will see it exactly the same way, and that makes me very happy.

Is there anything about one of your books you totally hate and wish you could change, but everyone else seems to like?

No actually, I think it is the opposite. People continually tell me the ending is ‘killing’ them because I have to chop the story somewhere… let’s face it, the series is 1500 pages + because the story is that long (kind of like Harry Potter, it won’t be over until we get to the end)… so don’t worry about the ‘cliff hanger’ and enjoy the ride… after all we don’t read stories for the ending, otherwise we would just read the last chapter and forget the rest… it’s the getting there that makes it fun.

Ok yeah… I could have told you who the guy was… but trust me – you will enjoy it a lot more after you have thought about it a bit before you find out =)

Do you ever get writer’s block? What do you do when it happens?

I don’t really call it writer’s block. Sometimes the story is flowing and sometimes it isn’t. If it is something I need to work through that will take time, I just walk away and let it percolate for a few days, and it will work itself out. If I need it resolved right now so I can push on, I go take a hot shower and just keep it turning in my head. Often, it will just suddenly present the path in front of me and I am off again.

˃˃˃ WARNING: GRAPHIC SCENES

This book is intended for readers 18+ and contains scenes that may cause distress to some readers: Domestic Abuse, Kidnapping, Rape and Substance Abuse are described in detail.

Author bio:-

Anyone who knows me could tell you, I am a friendly kind of person, never met a stranger and take up conversations anywhere at any time. I work hard, and my mind never seems to shut down, as I wake up often in the middle of the night with ideas pouring out and demanding to be dealt with. Of course that means much of my books were written in the middle of the night.

I grew up and still live in the great state of Texas where everything is bigger, where we have warm weather and a central location. I love my state, my town, and my family, which includes my four sons, my significant other, and many friends as well.

I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the books that are currently available and hope you will enjoy reading them just as much. And of course, there will be many more stories to come.

WHEN I BREAK by Kendall Ryan‏ @KendallRyan1 #review

Kendall_Ryan_When_I_Break_Amazon

Knox Bauer’s well well he is addicted to sex, but not really. I am not giving any secrets here by saying he was in trouble and it was suggested he go to a sex addicts group meeting. I dont think he was an addict per say, he liked woman and needed an occasional release. His fighting the demons is the real story here. The author shows a guy that becomes a father to his brothers at a young age. He holds all of them together. She brings a few points up and I dont want them overlooked. She tells how things are tough but Know goes to school meetings, sporting events and cooks. As guardian to three younger brothers, Knox needs a way to vent. OK so he vents with girls and I cant really blame him.

Enter McKenna, the smart college educated counselor who is his group leaser. She is only 21 and has a few things in her past that hold her back. She has a friend Brian who helped her but is really over protective of her. He was not ever really a threat. She sees Knox and becomes very familiar with his magnetism.  McKenna is trying to make things appear perfect on the surface, but the reader knows they are not. Does Knox meets the girl who can tame him?

I cant wait to read book 2. My only problem was the juicy pages were far too short. I really need more so I am hungry for some Knox! So yes this is another reason to fall in love with Kendall Ryan. She really has a knack for writing the steam!

When I Break is book 1 in a new series by bestselling author Kendall Ryan. When I Surrender, book 2, will be available May 2014.

Warning: Contains a stubborn alpha male with addiction issues and loads of sexual tension between two damaged characters. Read at your own risk.

Due to mature content, it is recommended for 17+.

“Great, we’ll see you in Hell at nine on Monday morning!”

How can an angel survive in a corporate Hell?

Mel accepted a job in the Health, Environment, Life and Lands Corporation – otherwise known as HELL.

Dying for a decent coffee, surrounded by bureaucracy gone mad and demons who just love making life difficult, Mel must find out what Lucifer and his minions are really up to – before his Corporation goes global. Mel’s no ordinary angel, but she’s never dealt with demons before.

Could the seductive CEO really be Lucifer himself? Are Luce’s lusty looks all they seem, or is he after more than Mel’s body? Does he have a hope in Hell with her, anyway?

He’s about to find out that this sweet angel’s soul is not for sale.

A tiny taste of what’s in store:

“Do you know how long you’ve made me wait?” Luce lifted his chin. “Close the door.”

Mel turned and kicked the door shut with the sole of one shoe. The click of it closing coincided with her eyes meeting Luce’s once more.

“Now strip and get your arse on the desk,” Luce instructed.

Mel stared at him. He couldn’t be serious, could he?

“Every other girl in this building knows how to do as she’s told. Do you know how many girls I’ve had on this desk? You should consider yourself lucky. The last one I had in here was so quick getting undressed that I managed to give her a full fifteen minutes of my time. At this rate, you’ll be lucky to have five.”

Mel became transfixed by the timber desktop. “Did you wipe it clean afterwards?”

“What?” Luce’s face reddened.

“Did you wipe it clean afterwards?” Mel repeated patiently. “I mean, you work on it every day. Imagine how many diseases and strange germs each of your, er, accommodating staff members were carrying when they placed their bare behinds on your desk.”

The shock on Luce’s face was priceless. He edged his chair away from the suddenly suspicious surface.

Demelza Carlton has always loved the ocean, but on her first snorkelling trip she found she was afraid of fish.

She has since swum with sea lions, sharks and sea cucumbers and stood on spray drenched cliffs over a seething sea as a seven-metre cyclonic swell surged in, shattering a shipwreck below.

Demelza now lives in Perth, Western Australia, the shark attack capital of the world.

The Ocean’s Gift series is her first foray into fiction, followed by her suspense thriller Nightmares trilogy. She swears the Mel Goes to Hell series ambushed her on a crowded train and wouldn’t leave her alone.
