Synopsis

After experiencing a humiliating breakup, twenty-two-year-old Cassandra Clarke is fresh out of college and living a simple solitary life without any intentions of pursuing love anytime soon. When the estate next door sells, the last thing Cassandra expects is the unnerving attraction she feels for her sinfully handsome neighbor, Logan West, the young and charming single father with a playboy reputation. It’s through Oliver, Logan’s four-year-old son, who keeps popping up in her childhood tree house, that she slowly begins to catch glimpses of the compassionate and wounded man Logan has hidden beneath his strong exterior. Cassandra knows it’s wrong and that she’s heading for another heartbreak. Logan will never be able to give her what she truly desires…love.

Damn it. Pull yourself together Cassandra!
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to…interrupt.” I stuttered, looking anywhere but at him.
The woman, who I assumed was responsible for his nearly nude state, had appeared at some point and was standing behind him. Her chest pressed against his back and her eyes screamed at me to get lost, ‘he’s mine.’
Pulling myself out of my thoughts, I recognized her from around town, Katie. She was a grade above me in high school, I remembered her as one of the annoyingly popular girls.
“It’s not a problem, sweetheart. Did you need something?” He seemed oblivious to the woman rubbing her hands up and down his forearms, kissing the back of his neck. He raised his shoulder where her lips lingered, forcing her face away.
She frowned looking both embarrassed and annoyed.
His gaze never strayed from mine but his usual smirk slowly crept over his luscious lips. No, not luscious!
“Hmm?” I asked. All I could see was the perfect stubble surrounding his chiseled jaw and plump, kissable lips. Think, Cassandra, think.
Why was this so hard? I never had this reaction to a man before.
I shook my head again. “Right, I made these for you and Oliver.” Finally, something that pulled me back to reality, Oliver. His son. The son that needed me to stay off—no—away from his father.

Enough with the plagiarism

If you have nothing better to do today but cause trouble, you need to get a life. I have several DM and comments on my Goodreads. If I marked a book “To Read” and you think the author is not “real” dont waste my fucking time commenting on it. We are not in high school and if I named the 4 bloggers who either commented or wrote to me here I would be equally as guilty. So seriously grow the fuck up and dont get involved in someone elses matters.

If these 2 authors who have issue with plagiarism dont stop people from doing this, I am going to lose my mind. It is a complete waste of time. Copyright material is simple it is the law, they were pulled, blog tours all over, including mine were STOPPED. The best selling authors have legal rights and they are protected.

Remember one thing Once you write it, you can NEVER forget it and will only REGRET IT

Say it and forget it. Simple write it- regret it, say it forget it

Dont tie your name or bash someone who you dont know and has not done anything to you. Name calling like “fraud” and “plagiarizer” without any facts is just juvenile.

A Night to Forget by Jessica Wood @jesswoodauthor #review

a night to forget cover 17873881

A Night To Forget is released just in time for a beach read. I really liked the book, the scenes and the characters. As for Emma and Brandon, they were great! I cant wait to get to the next book. I would love to see it all wrapped up. I am not a fan of series or trilogies that come out too far apart. I cant stand waiting.

If you are a beach read, romance lover this is for you. It has a well thought out plot and believable characters. You will think “This can happen”a few times. Emma and her friends going to Cancun for spring break sets the plot going and it is a good start. Brandon is delicious and juicy.

What I was not a fan of was that it was a little short (kindle pages 130) and I have to wait for book 2. That is not a bad thing, I guess it builds up the buzz but…it seems to be a growing trend. Either way a GREAT debut!

From the university campus to a cozy cottage on Carter’s Creek, Virginia, Saving Ben is a haunting tale of love and loyalty, anger management, substance abuse, and betrayal.

Review

I really liked this book. The most appealing thing about the book was the level of angst. I think it was perfect, definitely not overloaded. It has enough there to let you get swept away, and not want to cry a million times.

Realistically speaking there are alcohol and drugs everywhere and this is an example. The plot and overall story was the draw, not overly done and the showing of certain aspects of Ben manipulating is a key factor for me.

The other thing I enjoyed was the characters. Again they were a little edgy, with drinking, but nothing in such excess that made you regret reading it. I also liked that the Ben nose dive into trouble shows that people will do anything for the smoke, drug, drink they want. Katherine was the phenomenal sister always supportive. She thought being is college would free her from the drama of a broken marriage. NOT happening, that was removed and replaced with Ben and his new drama. Emma was the nutjob that you didn’t like, but couldn’t hate. Everyone has an Emma somewhere. She was a pivotal character.

Overall I really enjoyed the book. I think it will appeal to more than the NA and YA drama seekers. This genre has more appeal lately to me so that is probably why I gobbled it up. Definitely recommend.

I wrote a novel, SAVING BEN, in honor of my brother, the boy I worshiped, the man I could not save. It’s not a memoir, but a story about the special bond between siblings.

I’m a wife and mother of two teenagers. I have lived in Richmond, Virginia, for seventeen years, a city I love for its history and traditions. Personal experience with my brother inspired me to become involved with the leadership symposium in my son’s school where I’ve helped bring in speakers to raise parents’ awareness of the alcohol and drug problems children face. When I’m not steering volunteer committees or working on my next novel, I can be found swimming laps or playing tennis.

She is also a psychopath.

When Katherine’s obsessive-compulsive overprotective brother succumbs to Emma’s charms and falls dangerously off-track, Katherine must save Ben from himself. Lives are threatened and someone disappears on New Year’s Day. The only evidence left: a single set of footprints in the snow.

From the university campus to a cozy cottage on Carter’s Creek, Virginia, Saving Ben is a haunting tale of love and loyalty, anger management, substance abuse, and betrayal.

Sin at Sea (A Sinful Novella, #1)
by Emma Nichols

When Alysin grabbed supper and went to see her boyfriend at work her world came crashing down. She finds Kyle with his secretary. Don’t go bashing with the cliche thing, cause it is I know. What does she do? She is a runner, plain and simple it gets hot she scrams from the kitchen! Within minutes of a phone call to BFF Jolie, Alysin is on her way. Being they both work via sat, they have no reason to stay in any one spot. It is sort of sad that they can pick up, but they have a life like that.

wave

They decide on a cruise. They get to a hotel and forge a plan. Here we go girls, this is what I liked. The fact that they could take picture, work via a laptop and had a plan. When their situation and how they got to this very place is explained it is logical and believeable. The fact that you dont have a huge pill to swallow is great. They are not over the top millionaire ladies who flaunt or boast about material things or cash flow. I think that is refreshing nowadays where the fantasy part is just so overdone sometimes, well too much of the time.

happy jumping smiley5

The other thing I liked was their friendship. Jolie and Aly share a lot. I really want to go into it, but nah you MUST read it.

ItsBeen2LongSinceUHadA%2524%2524Spanked%2521

I loved the fact that is was what I would call naughty chick lit. The scenes where great and there was a lot of them. It was not overdone and nothing about any red room of pain. I cant really take the overuse of that either. Aly makes no secret to Jolie about how she never had a great sex life with Kyle. That was realistic too. I really want to share my quotes, but the ones I need to share give away plot lines and I really cant do that.

When they get on the cruise ship she meets Mr. Bedroom Eyes. As the promo states “The cruise promises to be memorable in every way that matters.”

beachscene-toloveis

I loved the debark scenes. Why not stop and shop.

YES I totally loved it and although it was a novella, and I knew that, I wanted more. When you have the absolute perfect blend of  fun, friendship, reality and romance, you want more. It was a small serving and I want to make the next one super sized.
