“I promise I came here to ask you out again. Officially.” “Okay,” she says, a bit nervously. I bring my hand up to cup her face. “There’s something about you. I want to find out exactly what that is.” I tell her. She leans her head into my palm and closes her eyes. “Will you go to dinner with me, Maddie?” Her eyes open, but she doesn’t say anything. I can see in her eyes that she is warring with something. “I know you just got here, and we’ve only just met, but…” “Yes,” she interrupts me. “Yes, I will go to dinner with you.” Taking a quick step back, I run my hand through my hair then I step back toward Maddie and pull her mouth to mine again.
