About the Author:

I flew through this book. The first part explains one twin’s pov and then the other. First up Lavender talking about Juniper, her twin. They are identical but have not been on stable ground with their relationship for a while, missing out on the “twin bond”. So her sister doesn’t show up at her school and she hops a flight to Providence.
The author describes Juniper as a meticulous neat orderly teacher. Is it out of character for her to no show ? Nope so she needs to be found.
The last part begins the cat and mouse. Three different suspects are brought up. It’s now Juniper talking about her ordeal and her pov gives away the bad guy.
Throughout the book they both share very specific quotes from their mother who has died. That was a little weird for me- that the mother had so much wisdom to pass on to the two teenagers and that they remembered so vividly.
A worthy read despite having some flaws with actual police procedures dealing with missing people. I’m a huge mystery and true crime lover so, for me, it was a little bothersome

Elora Ramirez has always been a word girl. It started when she was four, when she taught herself how to read and write as a way to entertain herself while her grandmother kicked and danced in aerobics class. She cut her teeth on books from Dr. Seuss and writing anywhere she could find the space — including her Fischer Price kitchenette, the pages of picture books, and Highlights Magazines. She’s matured a bit since then, now choosing to write in the margins of her books and on the mirrors of her bathroom ideas and thoughts surrounding story and what makes us human. By day she leads a team at a tech company, waking up before the sun rises to get in her love for words before stepping into her role of helping others see the plot line of their own story under development. Intuition and beauty get her through the day, as well as her chef-husband and their little lion son. Curious Obsession is her fourth novel.
The first time I speak to the neighbor’s lawn boy he asks me if I need landscaping. By the gleam in his piercing blue eyes, he isn’t talking about my lawn.
In an uncharacteristically bold move, I invite the man I barely know to my place. After his initial “assessment” of my needs, our evening doesn’t stop there.
In Deacon, Texas, go big or go home, right?
The weeks that follow, Nash Denton makes sure he is the only one to handle my daily maintenance. He fills a missing gap in my life—bringing laughter, good times, and genuine care.
When sickness knocks me down, Nash is there. Turns out this illness isn’t the contagious kind. Nope, this lawn boy sure knows how to make things grow.
One question remains—will he stick around and nurture my lawn or will he soon be tending someone else’s landscape?
This was just what I needed! It was sweet, juicy, and left me with a good feeling. Coco and Nash seemed like an easy fling but I was wrong it was so much more!
This is the perfect beach day read. It includes several very humorous scenes. The relationship starts on a chance meeting when Nash meets Coco in front of the house she nannies at. She has a great relationship with the three kids she cares for and also with their parents. She has been with them for like five years and is very content.
Coco seems like a genuine level headed twenty something. This is rare nowadays. Especially that she has a degree and can be a teacher but chooses the nanny position because it fits her personality. I love that!
What can a happy lawn boy and smart nanny do long term ? Find out

Leaning down, he grabs something between where my feet are parted. His hand brushes my ankle, making me suck in a breath. Standing up, he holds a debit card up. “You dropped this, Layla.”
I feel frozen as I stand here like a moron, tingling in places that should not be tingling. And not from the bourbon either.
Finally, I snap out of it and snatch the card away from him. “Uh … th-thanks.”
“No problem,” he says and takes a step back. “Have a good night.”
Turning slowly, he walks away. And judging by my body’s sharp reaction to him … hopefully out of my life. Dane Wade isn’t the type of guy you can kiss and forget.
And since I don’t do the whole relationship thing, there’s no point in becoming a prisoner to his touch.
I might not see marriage or children in my future, but if I see a prospect to have a little fun with? You’re damn right I’m going to take it. I won’t feel bad either. Men somehow look hotter if they get around campus. A girl sleeps with a handful of guys, and suddenly, she’s deemed a whore. We’re not in the olden days anymore, folks. Time to catch up with the times.
Now, that isn’t to say I sleep around on the regular. In fact, I’ve only had sex with a few different guys. But fooling around? Making out and allowing a bit of fondling? No harm there. As long as I don’t see myself getting attached to the guy, I’ll kiss him silly. If there’s a chance of one of us catching feelings, hell to the no. Kissing is far too personal. In my opinion anyway.
So, as I said before, Dane isn’t a guy I should be kissing. I know my weaknesses. And it turns out, guys who look like that, with sad eyes and a tortured soul … might just be one of them.
